Hey guys! 😃

Im a HUGE Gulaal fan but I never had the chance to come on here when Gulaal was being aired due to studies, house, etc. etc but I used to watch the show. Though I did not follow it rigorously since frankly I found preleap to be a bit boring but I followed every episode once the post leap began and I just fell utterly and deeply in love with the show.
Such a beautifully crafted show with wonderful ensemble cast who did complete justice to their respective characters. All the characters were written out with a lot of thought and understanding (except a few but it can be ignored)
Though I felt the crying and drama became a lil too much at times but its an indian tv soap so yeh hone hi hai but compared to all other indian tv soap Gulaal had a complete grasp on the story and characters.

However the two characters that stood out the most were Gulaal and Kesar. These two characters with their individuality, inner turmoil, thoughts, struggle, happiness, love and heartbreak were forever etched into the viewers mind. Mansi and Neil were truly brilliant actors who completely gave life to Gulaal and Kesar with their amazing portrayal. They made an emotional connect with the audience- making us laugh with them, weep for them, sympathise their inner dilemma and just making us feel that in some alternative reality there existed a Gulaal and Kesar.
Ill admit Gulaal pissed me off a few times and so did Kesar(during his rebel stage) but the writers showed the inner workings of their mind and heart so very well that you could not stay angry for long because you know why they did what they did.

And ofcourse the biggest reason for my love for this show- GulSar. <3
I definitely think this one of the few and most unique and epic love story ever told which was so well thought and planned ahead. I never knew that GulSar were actually destined to be together until I saw the preleap episodes and saw so many signa pointing at the fact that Kesar had always been Gulaal's destiny. Vasant was the connecting link, he guided her to Talasgara and to Kesar.

Well Ill stop here because if I talk about GulSar I can write a freakin essay 😆 And I rather not bore you guys with that!
All I wanted tto say is its so nice to see this forum is still active and the fans are still posting here. 😊 Its nice to meet you all!

P.S: does anyone here have a download link to the full BG- O Piyu Maari O Pyaari?

Beautiful post ! :) And OMG !! Hi5 !! I too watched Gulaal when it was on air but never found the time to be active here because of time constraints .. but chalo .. koi nahin .. better late than never like you said :) So good to meet you , my Late Lateef partner 😆 🤗

And its sad how underrated they were.

The way the story took off from Kesar's fondness for Kesar as a child to growing up to acknowledging and accepting her as his wife and Gulaal's dilemma ... Kesar fighting his inner demons and Dushyant ... Gulaal's denial ... mai kya kya boloun. AMAZING stuff . Just amazing.

I also liked Sushant 'Dushyant-Bhaa' Singh a lot. VERY good actor.

Yay! Im not alone 😆
Hahahaha par lagta hai sirf hum hi do baache hai yahan aab... but no worries we can fangirl by ourselves, Its great to meet u too! 🤗

Yes! I feel so terrible to know that such a gem of a show had so little trps when frankly it was one of the best during the time it was aired.

Meri maan ki baat keh di! I agree the whole journey was too beautiful to be described in words. Kesar was superb as he was but Gulaal was just too good, her strenght, inner turmoil, her pain, fear and confusion could melt any heart. She was such a strong woman.

lol! I thought I was the only one but I liked him too! The actor showed Dushyant ka guilt and regret wonderfully. They wrote his character very well too. But I so badly wished to see more of what happened after GulSar got married again

You have no idea how relieved I am to find you here ... I thought I was gonna be making posts by myself and walking through the empty corridors like that kid from Highschool who failed so many times all his friends gratuated by the time he was done 😆

Chalo now you are here, we can tattle away in merriment

I am Rafi btw ! 😳

And Gulaal sabko acha kyun lagega .. Kesar didn't go around displaying his 6 pack (even thought Neil Bhatt had an expressive set under the modest Polos 😆) and Gulaal didn't oggle at him at every given chance nor did they have any HAWT HAWT dance sequences 😛 Yahi sab bikta hai ab toh. Unfortunately for people who look for substance in television, shows like Gulaal are rare and shortlived -____-

And hi5 / Samepinch at the Dushyant thing ! 😃

LOL!! *Same pinch* I thought the same too! 😆 The seemed so forum empty and I felt I came like 2 years late to the party 😆

Of course! I havr so much I would love to discuss on Gulaal! Im re-watching the entire post-leap episodes

Oh nice to meet u Rafi! Im Radhika but everyone calls me Rin here!

LOL! So true...But Neil was hot, he had many girls crazy over him back then 😉
However I agree Gulaal had a story to be told, it was decided long back and they stuck to it (Even Talli became too much of center of attraction later on) But sadly shows with a proper story and well developed characters are not liked by the masses.
The masses just love romantic hot sequences between characters and mindless silly drama I have seen many good shows bite the dust because indian audience cant accept quality drama.

Awe thank u so much for the warm welcome! 🤗 I have seen your posts too! I love how you all decipher the scenes and so beautifully present your thoughts on it.
Im watching the entire post leap episodes because I truly felt the post leap was MAJOR turning point and had the best portrayal of characters. And ofcourse elder Kesar bought so much depth to the show along with Gulaal.

Radhika🤗Thanks ...POST leap has definitely been a MAJOR TURNING point. Each and every scene has such different vibes..unlike the cliche Dupatta flying scenes. If PRE-LEAP was a magnum opus with a huge canvas painted in dazzling hues ,then POST -LEAP is like poetry in motion ,every tiny details pulling the strings of your heart...😳BIG SIGH The audience never appreciated such a GEM..God knows what's wrong with the Indian TV trends in those days😡

What is ur name dear? 😊

You said it more beautifully than I ever could! *applause*
I agree Pre-Leap was a canvas of colors, it was the setting stage for the grand journey that had yet to begin. Post leap was the true journey of their characters, the journey which is forever etched into the viewers memories as GulSar were moving towards their destination. I LOVED episode after the DV, it was the important phase of the entire story and the start of Gulaal's true journey.

I Know! I feel so frustrated with indian audience! How can so many people disregard such good shows for the likes of mindnumbing stupid drama! Gulaal was a strong woman, she stubborn as hell but she stood for herself without coming off too proud or arrogant. Rather than watching such characters people watch weak, stupidly selfless and overly husband dependent heroines on tv.
