Independence Day is a national festival in India and is celebrated with great enthusiasm. The sentiment of patriotism is brimming high too at Fame Gurukul. As Pandit Jasraj, the unparalleled doyen of classical music hoists the national flag at the Gurukul the contestants sing the national anthem along with him.
Pandit Jasraj, a man endowed with a rich, soulful and sonorous voice was accompanied by the popular singer Jaspinder Narula and his son Sharang Dev to enlighten the contestants of Fame Gurukul about the importance of 'riyaz'. He advises the Fame Gurukul contestants to pay great attention on 'riyaz' as he, himself still continues to do 'riyaz', at this age. He highlights that, it's only through 'riyaz' the contestants will be able to overcome their shortcomings in singing. He provides valuable nuances of singing especially to Shamit and Mona who are right now in the danger zone as he stresses, "In a competition like Fame Gurukul, it is imperative to rise above all and thus be consumed by music to give a good performance." He ends his session by singing an 'Alap' where, the talented Arijit Singh joins him. An impressed Pandit Jasraj then invites Arijit over to his place to witness his own 'Riyaz', which Panditji would have otherwise, never permitted.
Even, as a relaxed Qazi for a change finds himself in the 'Safe Zone' this week, the contestants in the danger zone -Shamit Tyagi, Mona Bhatt and Rec D'Souza are all charged up post the advice received from Pandit Jasraj to flatter the viewers with their mind blowing performances. As this performance will decide their fate. However, the voting lines are open till Thursday morning 7:00 am and fans can save their favourite contestants.
