ALREADY LOVING IT. RES. I KNOW I SAID I WOULDNT. THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME.
EDIT
I may have been right about the scene you were going to choose. But I couldn't be more wrong about how you would execute it.
And as usual Expelji said it all!! But here goes post 200 anyway:
I love how it begins..the impressionist painting you created through your words. Also its kind of a connection to the last story? Or is it just me.."shower in april"
I freaking love your similes..analogies or whatever they are called..OSTRICH. He does remind me of that, now that I think about it. And then like khushi I laugh at the ridiculous notion of the asr being scared of something!
I like that both of them are a bit old..the few strands of grey, the 32 years..and their sarcastic humour and baiting each other hasn't changed like two witty teenagers. And yet khushi being khushi is an eclectic boho star-sticker granting college professor with hipster glasses, like an indian flavour of zooey Deschanel. And arnav is still the brooding man we know, except this time he teaches english lit...Romantic Poetry of Lord Byron. I freaking demand enrolment in this course ASAP. or thanda pani, whatever comes first? And I remember that episode of White collar..I also forgot kab. You are really bringing all the SKD's on this table, arent you?
What I love about this tale A lot is your brand of ironic and sarcastic humour. I mean it was like ridiculing/mocking IPK for what it really was, and yet at the same time appreciating it by writing this story you know? Makes sense? And I like expelji said..I love how you hid their "relationship status" by something as simple as their usual banter. I have always loved the banter you and juhi write for them..it actually makes sense, is witty enough to LOL intelligently.
Lets talk twists..I can fully confirm that you and juhi are judwa's who were lost in kumbh mela, and having finally re-united on IF. I cant even...
Akash and payal finally a combustible version, and I like that you do the simple role-reversal. I always wondered what it would be like for Khushi to have a brother. Again here you bring on the uncanny resemblance to anjali-arnav relationship..which made me laugh, but in this case Akash might just be a tad more perceptive, right? I like that khushi's conversation was about Akash and Akash's was about khushi. I mean they didnt even speak of the love that they shared for their partner..and yet the whole story makes me feel love and comfort may it be of the "romantic" sort of the "sibling" one..(dyslexia is kicking in) I like that both the sets of siblings are looking out for each other..that clearly didnt happen on the show..not when it was most needed, so I am glad you changed that part.
Obviously the way you describe khushi + arnav's relationship is not something we find in this place often..because there is always that air of passion. However, I couldn't have thought them to be more in love or more real, then they are in this story. There is something so so companionable about shared silence and sarcasm. Sometimes we tend to overcomplicate things like A+P and sometimes we are given complicated things like K's scumbag ex. But the simplicity of "true" love over-rides all this and floats through like the syllables in rabba-vey (overly cheesy?? forgive me for I am in SKD)
The length was perfect, and I love how different and as "fresh" this was. Mature yet childlike.
Also FYI lady gaga is the bomb. Arnav needs to get with the times, pffft lord byron (I lie).
Hitashi
ps. I have abused the word I love here..I am sorry..to whoever is looking our for those two words.
