Yes he did look rather dashing... but i agree that perhaps continuing with the same costume would have been better.
They cut the song so much... and so abruptly too. The song is such a beautiful one... if they didn't want to be explicit, they could have played it in the background while he closes the doors and windows or something... even that would have looked better than that fake stage.
