Owww ouch! hard hitting words. And words that should haunt RK.
I get that many people here don't like Sultan because they see him as a threat to RK, but RK deserves to hear this no?
He didn't take care of his wife, he didn't treasure her, he has treated her without kindness, without respect, without courtesy. If someone who counts himself her friend steps up to protect Madhu, what is wrong? - yes, I can see that it would enrage RK but he has brought it upon himself - by throwing his marriage to Madhu out in the open - by throwing her out, and then bringing her back at his whim.
MANY things should be left between a couple. Their fights, their quarrels are their own to sort out. But NOT when it comes to abuse, force, coercion, emotional blackmail. It is the duty of friends to at least be on stand by IN CASE someone needs our help.
That is what Sultan is doing. He cares for Madhu. She is a girl from a simple middle class family without great money or power. Her father is away - she has no brothers who can fight for her. She has very little power to withstand the ruthless and overbearing dominance of a superstar like RK. If RK is forcing Madhu to do anything she doesn't want to do, she needs her family and friends to back her.
WE know that Madhu is conflicted but that is no thanks to RK - he's behaving like a bully and frankly, I'm glad Madhu has someone who can stand by her against such behaviour.
The subtext of what Sultan is saying is: If Madhu had been my wife, I'd take better care of her. It would have never come to this, where another man can come up and ask her if she needs his protection.
It is a SLAP on RK's face - a criticism of the way he has conducted himself, his marriage and the terrible way he has let himself and his wife down. It is so insulting to Madhu that she has to even be in NEED of support of the kind that Sultan is offering. How must Madhu be feeling?! To be offered protection from her own husband!! 😲 To be in the position to say, 'Thanks, but no thanks.' It is RK's fault that she is in this position. And I'm glad he's being shown that.
