Shah Rukh Khan takes a dig at Salman Khan's charity work

He reportedly claims it's better to dance at weddings and make money, than 'pretend' to charity

It does appear Shah Rukh Khan is in no mood to forgive his one-time-best-friend Salman Khan any time soon.

His animosity for the beefy Khan took a new turn on the set of his new film 'Chennai Express', when he took a potshot at Salman.

The story goes that SRK disagreed with his director Rohit Shetty's thinking that celebs must not dance at wedding parties. He added that it was degrading for A-listers to perform at wedding functions and high-profile parties for money.

SRK obviously wasn't too pleased with his observation and defended himself by claiming it was better to dance and make money than to 'pretend' to do charity.

This surely doesn't hint at SRK's lack of philanthropist intentions or his reluctance to part with his cash-stash, we hope, but is an indirect jab at rival Salman and his much-publicised 'Being Human' initiatives.

According to an Indian media publication; "(Shetty) said actors should maintain their dignity as the nation look upon them."

SRK reportedly defended this, and said the dancing was part of the entertainment business.

In fact, he said he'd "prefer performing at a wedding or an event over performing at a charity function".

SRK has openly declared his willingness to turn wedding dancer for money and doesn't find the exercise offensive. According to the stats received late last year, he charges INR3-3.5 crore per wedding.

The superstars had first fought, when Salman misbehaved with SRK on the set of 'Chalte Chalte' only to patch-up at filmmaker Farah Khan's wedding years later. The friendship, was however, short-lived with the two fighting at Katrina's birthday bash a few years later.

Since then, the two indulged in petty strategies to hurt each other.

Looks like, this too will boil into another full-fledged controversy. Let's just wait and watch.

MEDIA mis-quoting him again, he isn't taking dig at Salman as Salman is known to run a charity org. of his own & being guest at charity events than dancing on charity functions n collecting money.

SRK isn't wrong if he doesn't want to perform FREE, he is a professional, his wish, his style of work.

It would have been a dig if he would have said "I don't like to show as i do this much charity" < something like this would be a dig.
