Have you guys ever heard that song by Nustrat Fateh Ali Khan, "Ishq da Rutba"? Its perfect for this situation.
"Ishq da rutba, ishq hi jaane... samajh sake na loge sayaane."
Today's episode left me pleasantly not surprised... I knew it was coming... Gauri's confession was not a surprise at all, but the execution was mind-blowing...👏👏
Right from the beginning of the episode where Shiv so cutely requests Gauri to come with her... that "please", it kills me😳 Its like if he even asked her to lay her life down for him, she would not hesitate even for a moment. 😳
The scene in which Shiv looks at his family busily lost in the marriage arrangements and queitly asks for forgiveness for his coming actions, reflects the truth of his reality. He has stepped into the sea of love... but yet to completely drown in it. I think he somewhere had a hint about the feelings he nursed for her and she towards him.. very chalak he is😳😆
The scene at the bridge was excellent... At first when I saw Pallavi in TD, I didn't think too much of her, but the lady proved me completely wrong... the way she brings her hand out to stop Shashank telling him not to approach her, not to cross that boundary, tells him she belongs to another now... the expressions were so intense, so powerful... so passionate... the way she ran, claiming he could never do such a thing... the sheer denial reflected the depth of a love that she had so long craddeled in her heart. Fabulous.... the way she broke down, her heart slowly breaking... I must admit, I don't cry easily and that scene had my eyes moist 😭👏👏 The way in which Shiv was expressing his concern on the phone while driving... just goes to show the man is in denial, he has yet to recognize that someone else has taken control over his life... he remains no longer Shiv Kapoor alone and perhaps that feeling irks him too😳.
And the scene of the day... "You called him here right?" She asked with tears in her eyes... The way he got up and averted her gaze telling her to "Just go to him"... For some reason I felt a hint of jealousy in that phrase... something inside was tearing apart... "Just go to him..." Arre buddhu, if she leaves, you won't survive either!!... "Why don't you want to go?... Kyun nahin jaaogi tum?"... and then
"Kyun ki mein aapse pyar karti hoon... I love you Shiv."...
Wow... How long have we awaited this? My goodness... I'm so glad at least one of them confessed before Iqbal left!! That hug... what an embrace... it was as if she was clinging to life. I think his hesitation to engulf her in his arms came more from the guilt than anything else. He thinks he doesn't love her, the truth is he can't imagine life without her... yet the guilt is killing him... aww, my poor babe... Iqbal was mindblowing... the man is simply super!!👏 😳I wish I could whistle because I would be doing it sooo loud right now!!😉
I loved Gauri's epiphany... the recollection of that place... the place where she had come when she left the alter... I loved it, so I wrote it all out...
"Yehi woh jaga hai jahan mein saare rishte tohr kar aayi teeh, mujhe maaloom nahin tah, yahan se jaane ke baad, aisa rishtaa jodh loongi, jo mujhe sab rishton se bar kar hoga. Yehi woh jage hai, jahan mujhe laga tah mere saamne koi raasta nahin hai, lekin mujhe maaloom nahin tah ke raasta isliye nahin hai... kyun ki maanzil mere kareeb thi. Yehi woh jage hai jahan mujhe laga tah mera aant ho chuka hai, lekin woh mera aanth nahin tah, woh meri zindagi ki ek nayi shuruat thi. Yehi woh jage hai, jahan par meine aapne karam ko kosa tah, lekin mujhe maloom nahin tah woh ek karam mere jeene ki vaje ban jaaye ga. Isi jaga par kisi ne mujhe pyar ka matlab samjhaya tah, lekin mujhe maaloom nahin tah, isi jage par mein kisi se kahoongi... mein ussay kitna pyar karti hoon."
👏
What a confession!! Omg... a brilliant episode all around... Thank God Shashank realizes that Gauri belongs only to Shiv... "Ye Gauri sirf apne Shiv ki hai..."😳😉😆 (right guys... I told you, this line is ~perfect~...)... on a backtrack, I loved how they showed the reversal of all Gauri and Shashank scenes.. espcially where he's like "mein tumse shaadi nahin kar sakta Gauri..." Forget it buddy, she ain't yours!!
I think the fact that Shiv gave into Gauri's hug, the fact that he encompassed her in his arms, it symbolizes the fact that he does love her... even though in the final scene he says he does not...
Regarding the final scene, Iqbal again took my breath away... his guilt, the denial, the breakdown... nothing can hold him away from Gauri... I think she will definately forgive him after she finds out!! Whatever the case, the man is a goner, whether he realizes it or not!! "Main kissiko tumhare saath khelvar karthe nahin dekh sagta" This line gives it all away... Let the storms, the winds... let them all come, I will serve as a shield to you... I won't let the slightest pain near you...
Performance wise... the lead duo were simply amazing... *whistles.. throws flowers... claps..*...
Now I'm looking out for some spicey scenes btw SG before IK leaves right Sana Di?!😉 Btw, we have to get our party started here soon... "Mere naal bhangra paal.. mere naal gidda paale..."😆
Hope I didn't make you yawn... 😕😆
Heres wishing for more lovey-dovey SG scenes before Iqbal's unfortunate parting!!
Cheers,
dc
P.S. I'll try and post a translation of Gauri's confession up in a little while!
