TOI: Contestants get a taste of fun and adventure

As the competition heats up on Star Plus'Masterchef Kitchen Ke Superstar, the challengesget even more interesting.

Tonight, the contestants — 10 finalists — and three judges — chefs Sanjeev Kapoor, Vikas Khanna and Kunal Kapoor — will move out of the vibrant Mughal Darbar set and relocate to the sun-soaked sarson ka khet in a Punjab village. Here, they will be asked to whip up a delectable and authentic Punjabi meal for the three judges, who are, by the way, Punjabis! But there's a catch — the ingredients of the menu will be hidden in various houses in the village.

From milking cows to rolling papads, the final 10 will have to fight it out to come out with flying colours. That's not the end of it. After the task, the unsafe eight will be whisked off to NH1, where, in the middle of nowhere, they will be asked to manage a dhaba in two teams of four each.

And this time, it's not Punjabi cuisine that they have to offer — on the other hand, true blue Punjabi customers will have to be convinced to have a go at traditional South Indian fare! The team that earns maximum money wins the task.

Will the contestants be able to serve a tandoori chicken-loving trucker rasam-rice? Who will stay and who will not?
