But IPL's opening ceremony gets low ratings
The song and dance by the stars and all the jazz at the inauguration, held a day before the matches started, got just 1.8 TRP.

Dabangg 2 does well on the small screen too
The Salman Khan-starrer's TV premiere on Star Plus garnered 4.9 points, helping the channel to more or less hold on to its Gross Rating Points (GRPs).

i'm sure the managerial company of IPL opening ceremony has incurred huge loss cause on tv 1.8 trps is below average and that too having stars like SRK,KAT,DPAD and more

btw its proven again that film stars can pull tv audience unless he has magical power like Big B

so the event couldn't pull any viewers except SRK,KAT,DPAD net tv fans and some hardcore IPL fans...

The opening isn't on top 25 tv programme last week... huge disaster

i am waiting to see the day when IPL gets low trp's and gets the booty from television. i don't appreciate the fact that sport is used for mindless entertainment. if i detest it on big screen, i do the same for small screen as well.

Not only on Box Office, now Salman has beaten Srk on Small TV also, that too with huge margin... Kya fayda hua GLOBAL STAR ka jab he can't get even a decent TRP on Small TV, where audience doesn't have to pay to watch like in cinema halls...
