I very much agree with you Mary. Basher is indeed a hollow word. And I actually find it ironic that people call others basher. Calling someone a basher seems to me like, over top of whatever misunderstandings and differences in opinion, more personal attack. It creates more problems and is simply unnecessary and completely unsophisticated.
