Few reasons that were quoted are correct but don't like couple of people's statements that this is how industry works, everybody goes thru the same routine blah blah does not make sense at all. Forcing people to join the herd just because 95% are not complaining is absurd.

there are bunch of loopholes in the whole lifecycle. instead of affording to improvise that, people are simply adjoining and defending those conditions to only make things worse in long term. I wish I am in or associate to that industry to atleast understand how this whole trp nonsense converts to money. and whats the ratio of channel or PHs last minute changes suffering whole lot of crew turning to success is reasonable or not.

interesting article, in the uk actors work towards becoming members of equity which is a trade union for everyone in the arts and entertainment business. i guess tv in india is expanding explosively right now so a lot more of these issues will come into the limelight and maybe this will lead to better solutions and actors getting some coverage or insurance. thanks for sharing, happy to see sobti's name associated with this topic 😊
