Part 10- A

Ever since that day, when Riya had realised that her love for Arjun was deeper than she had imagined, she had been really confused about what to do. She knew that nothing could make her stop loving Arjun and she also knew that Arjun still loved his wife deeply and no one would ever take her place. She had had enough experience in love to know that an incomplete love story was hell. She had been through the pain before and she sure as hell didn't want to go through it again. So she decided to do exactly what a girl in her right mind would do in that situation- ignore him and created distance between herself and Arjun. She had vowed to never be a reason for Arjun's pain and if being with or near him would be painful for him, then it would be the best to maintain distance. So that's what she would do!

She had, with a lot of difficulty, managed to hold on to the vow all through the time Arjun was in hospital. Though she, being the only girl of ETF had to take care of Arjun, since no one else had any experience of idea whatsoever how to take care of Arjun. And then, even a child would know better than to trust Arjun Suryakant Rawte to take care of himself. So, it was her who took care of Arjun. And, obviously, it was a really difficult task as his injuries didn't permit him to be able to do much work without assistance, so Riya had to help and guide him time and again. This was taking a toll on her self-control and her promise seemed to be forgotten with something as small as a contact of their hands.

Also, she had no one to confide in. She could tell Shree but then it would be scary if Arjun came to know about it. It wasn't like she didn't trust Shree. Of course she trusted him. She trusted him with her life! But who knew what methods ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte would use to find out about the truth. And she'd much rather her secrets be spilled than any harm come to Shree. Though the scenario after the spilling of the secret wouldn't be tempting either. "Oh stop it Ri," she thought, "stop being so paranoid! Don't think about anything of that sort. Just focus on the promise you've made to yourself and think of some way out." Yes! she needed to get out of this place as fast as she could. But it had to look normal or Arjun would get suspicious and track her down. And that was the last thing she wanted! "soon," she promised herself, "she would think of an escape soon!"
