Dear BV Writer and Director:

The BV audience is already distressed with the actress replacement, so please refocus on what you do best: Detailed Storytelling. Instead of expending episode reiterating the past and trying to connect Toral's Anandi to Avika's Anandi please progress with the present in a sensible manner:

1. If AnSh are newlyweds in love then their actions should reflect that INTENSITY not feel like OLD MARRIED COUPLE;

2. If the rishta btwn JaAn is strained because its awkward that J is still in love with A then have her behaviour reflect that instead of having her searching hi-n-low for him to say "goodbye";

3. If Singhs are torn about AnSh particularly Anandi leaving the show that conflict in a nuanced poignant way rather than a repeat of the "bidaai" scene that was previously aired post AnSh marriage.

4. And for Kanha's sake, if you are going to air a skit on Anandi's life then don't exclude the highpoints like DS burning her books, damage due to A bullet, A seeing JG1's first marriage, DS locking A up in the storeroom, etc;

5. Last, but not least figure out Sanchi's characterization if you are going to focus on her - one character with muliple personality disorder per serial (aka J) is enough;

6. Have Anandi, Shiv, or the Singhs call Khazan regarding her move to Udaipur - missing details like this undermines characterizations of all;

7. Shiv is being transferred and his assistant is completely MIA - HELLO! Are we still watching BV or some kekta cartoon?

8. From a pragmatic perspective given that Shiv is Collector and Anandi the Sarpanch a scene showing them preparing to turnover their pending projects would not have been amiss either - i.e. discussion btwn Gulli & Anandi about the con't of the school, Shiv doing reports for the new Collector...instead of this family dragfest bidaai of A to her sasural once more

Just hope the writer and director reads this thread and your post Anjana. The creatives have really lost their mind.

Anjy - Thanks a ton for this post.This is the view point of not one disappointed viewer but an echo of tons of disappointed viewers.

The writers and director are too busy focussing their efforts on forcing the audiences to accept the replacement actress as Anandi instead of convincing them.

Instead of showing duplicate sangeet, wedding,bidai and probably grihpravesh at KB they should concentrate on story and writing scenes that convince the audiences that the new person is none other than the character which they are very familiar with and love her very much.So that it will make the audience accpet her easily.

They should make efforts to try and connect the actress herself with the character.It is very clear that she has not managed to grasp the essence of Anandi.She only got the skin as someone sais in some other post.For almost 5 years a lot of audience cried and laughed with Anandi.Now the emotional connect is totally missing because the actress her self doesn't look like she is connected to the character.Only if she feels Anandi can she enact Anandi.And for this she needs to be propped up by good writing and direction which seems to be MIA at most of the times.

As for the story - Why so much of inconsistency.

She felt uncomfortable after he revealed that he still got feelings for her and then she goes in search of him to say good bye to him?It is so not consistent with her character.She knew how he feels so she wouldn't have liked to rub it in by saying good bye to him.

Sanchi - the less said the better.

S and A are supposed to be newly weds who discovered their love for each other only a few days ago.They should be high on that.Even if one argues that AnSh are more bothered about the people around them to be self absorbed it still doesn't explain the lack of magic.The excitement is totally missing because the writers are too busy trying to recreate that something that cannot be recreated.They can only create a new magic.

My humble request - please concentrate on writing scenes that make the actress and the audience connect with Anandi do not try to recreate something but try to create something new and please do not drag scenes.If they are stretched beyond their limits they look unconvincing.

Very good post. I agree with you completely. Instead of blaming the new actress for the lack of trps cv should better concentrate on the story. The actress acted well in the confession episode with Sid because it was executed well by the director and writer. Yesterday episode sucked the chemistry between ansh. The director left them and instead both anandi and shiv looking at jagya happy with Manu was weird. Irrespective of the replacement there was no string story for ansh after marriage...

It's all singhs and jagya jaap for both mahaan people. It's an insult to their positions as responsible people of jeytsar to only solve Singhs pathetic jagya problems.

Thanks Anjie for the post. I agree the story is going nowhere. If this is the kind of story they are showing us the TRPs would be down no matter who was enacting Anandi.

As for AnSh magic in today's episode or no intensity that you are saying, I think it was more to do with her being emotional about her bidaai. So, how is she expected to be have that magic with her husband ? She was dancing with him for couple of minutes and then suddenly she saw her DS and she went away to dance with her leaving Shiv for himself. Today's episode was more of her emotional state with Jeitsar and the Singhs than with Shiv.

As far as the dragfest of duplicate events, I am convincing myself that this is only for FBs and nothing else.

Agree on Anandi's inconsistent behavior. Even the previous day she ignored Jagya, she didn't cook for him and was worried about how her hubby felt about her overnight stay and today she is desperate to say bye to him. They are showing as though she is moving to another planet that she couldn't wait a few more days to talk to Jagya.

I am disappointed with Shiv's decision today. He was the one who told DS and Anandi that their transfer was a good thing and it would give Jagya some time and space to get over Anandi. He saw Jagya walking out on them during breakfast. He should have consoled Anandi and told her to talk to him at a later time. The fact that Jagya was not around to see them off should have made him tell her to leave him alone for some time.

I so agreee about the way they showed Anandi's life story. They didn't show the sad parts at all. They showed her having a happy life in Badi Haveli. All the sad parts is what made her strong and the woman that she is today.
