Ameesha gears up for double role

For her maiden film as a producer,Desi Magic,Ameesha Patel is leaving no stone unturned to make sure it makes maximum impact.The film is being made under the banner Ameesha Patel Productions,which the actress-producer helms along with partner Kuunal Goomer.She has a double role for the first time and her co-stars are Zayed Khan,Sahil Shroff,Randhir Kapoor,Lillete Dubey and Ravi Kishan.Shot in Europe,Punjab and Mumbai,the film is directed by Mehul Atha.
Says she,Ive been having sleepless nights working on this movie,but I would have it no other way.This is probably my toughest challenge post Gadar (2001).I play two diametrically opposite characters.We locked the script after a year-and-a-half. Of her dual role as a producer and an actor,she says,The production house is Kuunals brainchild.He coaxed me to set up a company with him and I agreed.He lets me be the actor and hog all the limelight,while he works on the nitty-gritties.
Adds Kuunal,It has been a very hectic,but fulfilling journey.When Ameesha and I decided to start a production house,our aim was to make good films.We have Amit Mehta,the writer of Don 2,on board for this film and DJ Aqeel makes his debut as music composer.Sanjay Gadhvi,who is a good friend of Ameeshas,has been roped in as the script doctor and he is overseeing the dialogue and the screenplay.
