Agree, all channel seems to be doing "hard-work" to cater most disgusting content in name of "drama" and "entertainment". Also you are right that they do not seem to "change" their ways or our pleads along while show was air would have been heard. Not to mention SS fighting with crazy people known as CV would bring fruitful result

But what amazes (more like shocks) me is "masses" who are also of educated group LOVE them😲

well thankfully I am able to find something "better" in true sense, unless I need to seek comic relief 😆

Thankfully, my parents hate such shows more than me & as a result, all the T.V's in my home look stunning being switched-off for most of the time!! 😆

Abt the state of Indian Television..actually the less said is better..But I agree that it has fallen to this level to be termed as 'Idiot Box'..And the factors contributing to such a pathetic state r as mentioned below:

1. Saas-bahu shows wid Kitchen politics - thnx to our Kekta mata, tht age of quality television ended right after the strong line of K shows..🤢 Prior to this v used to have very nice shows such as Dekh Bhai dekh, Saas, Saaya, Kora Kagaz. Some of these shows were abt social issues bt handled these things wid care n subtlety w/o glorifying d drama. I do remember some of these shows and truly are classic in every sense. But then came dooms age of saas-bahu saga
2. Glorifying the villains - almost in all d shows, villains r d one who drives d plot..its really sad to see mothers plotting against their own son. daughter in laws etc...when western shows r emphasizing on d value of family bonding n relations wid d shows like Packed to d Rafters' etc, v r njoying to witness famliy members trying to kill another family member to fulfill their own selfish motives😡 saying it is about family is just for namesake. Sure they are joint family but what are they showing - it's all about evil? 🤢
3. no emphasis on story - Story is d most neglected part in most of d Indian shows😆. their tracks usually process based on weekly TRPs story what is that?😕
4. Over emphasis on drama and loud background music..v dnt even get to hear dialogues due to this..👎🏼 Loudness in every aspect makes it a daily soap
5. lack of depth- No one takes the pain to establish characters n their traits..no one does d analysis of a particular character to show its behaviour in particular situation..A person who was knows as a rational person suddenly starts behaving as joker, smart person starts behaving irrationally n person who s known to be a no - nonsense person is suddenly shown as sacrificial idiot.. words such as consistency and self-respect for leads are unheard of in tv world 😡
6. portrayal of women - No show deals wid d issues which today's women face..Y cant they show a career oriented woman who s is trying to strike a balance between her professional life n personal life..y cant they show d struggle of such woman n highlight d issues which she faces regularly..❓ let's say they want to portray a housewife, fine but who says she has to be sacrificial idiot?

Also i would like to make a note that ,ther r ppl who r trying to give shows w/o such nonsense bt sadly they r nt getting support frm d viewers in terms of TRPs..all these hatke shows hav very poor TRPs..so v cant blame d makers alone..V audience too have responsibility towards d current state of Indian TV n towards making it as 'Idiot Box' that was my last question, are we such a minority gorup that no makers is willing to take us into consideration? I mean Parichay sure generated enough interest in people to tune in so I guess there is hope🤔
