Jay woke up. He saw jeet sitting quietly on the bed. He was surprised and got down from the bed when there was one more reason to get surprised. A watch was lying on the table and there was a letter. Jay read the letter. It read, "tumhara birthday gift – bani." Jay went downstairs and saw rano preparing the breakfast. Jay asked her, "tumhari di kahaan hai?" she replied, "woh office gayi hai, koi important file lane. Lautne mein der hogi, keh kar gayi hai." Jay returned to his room and found jeet sitting in the same way as he left him. He was doubtful about jeet's health. So he asked, "kya hua jeet?" jeet just shook his head indicating "nothing happened". Jay thought may be bani can realize his problem and was going to have a bath. He paused and thought, "jeet ko aaj main nilha deta hoon. Bani bhi kya yaad rakhegi ki maine jeet ko nilhaya hai." He went towards jeet, lifted him up and said, "chalo jeet, nahane chalo."
After half an hour, jay came out of the bathroom. He surveyed the room to see if bani is there or not. He went downstairs to do the same. When rano said, "aap kitna bheeg gaye hai. Lekin lagta nahin ki aapne nahaya hai!" jay said, "jaa raha hoon." He hurriedly entered his room and closed the door behind him in a hurry. Then he took out jeet out of the bathroom. Jay's face was filled with expressions of worry and tension. He had one more look on jeet. all the hairs on his body, directed wildly here and there, water dropping from them. He stood as it is in the middle of the room.
As jay was busy thinking something, there was a sound. He turned to see, the door of his room opening. He stood up all of a sudden as if he was struck by lightning. Bani entered the room. Her first look was on jay and the next on jeet. she shrieked as her smile disappeared on what she saw. Sha said, "ye kya hua hai jeet ko? Uske baal khade kaise ho gaye hai? Jay kya hua hai?" by this time jay had gathered some confidence and slowly said, "main jeet ko nilhane le gaya tha. Maine dhyaan nahi diya aur achchi tarah se saabun se ise nilhaya. Nilhane ke baad dekha ki uske baal ajeeb se ho gaye hai." Bani's face fell with disappointment. She said, "jay WOH INSAAN NAHI BAKRI HAI! Bechara jeet, dekho kaisa jungli dikh raha hai. Chehra bilkul utar gaya hai."
Jay said, "bani I'm sorry, main sirf tumhari help karna chahta tha." Bani said, "main jaanti hoon. Tumhari galti nahin hain. Magar… khaer chodo ab ye socho ise cheer up kaise kare?" jay said, "kahin ghumane le jaate hai." Bani instantly said, "kya keh rahe ho? Is halat mein ghar ke bahar kaise le jaaye ise?" jay again suggested, "jeet ko ghar mein hi koi film dikhate hai." Bani thoughtfully replied, "is waqt ek hi film dekh kar jeet khush ho sakta hai – Sholay." Jay said, "tum ruko main dvd leke aata hoon" and left.
Bani was trying to comfort jeet by moving her hand on his body. She was saying, "jeet sorry. Tumhare jijaji se galti ho gayi. Lekin aaj dopahar tak dekhna sab thik ho jayega…" when jay came and said, "sorry bani. Dvd koi le gaya hai aur abhi kahin bhi dvd nahi mil raha hai." Bani turned towards jeet and then again turning to jay she said, "jay kuch bhi karo varna pata nahin jeet ka kya hoga?" jay said, "ranveer keh raha tha agar hum sab milke us film ke kuch kuch best scenes enact kare, toh kaisa rahega?" bani screamed, "kya?" then paused for a while and said, "ha yeh chalega. Chalo neeche jake sab ko batate hai."
Everybody was discussing about it. Pia, pushkar & tarun were also called. Everybody loved jeet so they wanted to try their utmost to make him happy. Dadi came from mandir and seeing such a gathering became surprised. She asked aditya, "puttar kya hua?" aditya replied, "biwi ko khush karne/ ek deewana chala tha/ aur kya kahe/ bali ka bakra jeet bana tha." Everybody started laughing (except jay) but dadi couldn't understand a word. She said, "puttar samajh mein aaye aise bata." This time everybody laughed including jay. Aditya then clearly explained everything to her. Listening to this, she said "main batati hoon kaise kaunsa scene karma hai. Mujhe sab yaad hai. Maine sholay sau baar dekhi hai. Lekin kuch alag karenge." Everything was planned.
After an hour:
Jeet was sitting on the sofa. In front of him everybody of them were standing and announced "welcome sir. You are going to watch now Naye Naye Sholay." Jeet was surprised by the title, his face said.The stage was cleared.
Scene-1
Aditya, jay, tony and rohit came. Tony and rohit held aditya's hands. Jay said, "thakur tere haath mein jo chlormint hai woh mujhe de de." Aditya said, "nahi gabbar nahi. Pehle tum mujhe ye batao, hum chlormint kyun khate hai?" jay got angry and forcefully snatched the chlormint from his hand and said, "doobara mat poochna." Then three of them started laughing, "ha ha ha" aditya left the place with an ashamed face.
Scene-2
Aditya was talking to saahil and tarun. Looking towards tarun he said, "veeru, gabbar ne mujhse mera chlormint cheen liya hai. Tumhe usse badla lena hoga…" saahil interrupted, "main bhi hoon thakur saab." Tarun said, "haan haan jai." Then came bani, jumping throughout the way, "thakur saab ye log kaun hai?" tarun introduced himself, "main veeru, ye jai. Aap ka naam?" bani said, "basanti."
Scene-3
Three of the cooks of walia mansion went to meet aditya and one of them said, "sardar ne hume cookies lane ke liye bheja hai. Jitne bhi cookies hai tumhare paas, sab hume de do." Aditya said, "jake kehdo apne sardar se usey ek bhi cookie nahi milegi." The cook said, "kya? Sardar ko cookie dene se mana kar rahe ho? Iska anjaam jante ho?" aditya said, "pehle apne charo taraf to dekh lo phir mere anjaam ke bare mein sochna." The cooks saw tarun, saahil, bani and rano around them and then fled.
Scene-4
Jay said to pushkar, "are o samba. Kitne aadmi the?" pushkar was busy admiring pia's photograph so he didn't reply. Jay shouted, "samba. Main tumse kuch pooch raha hoon. Apni biwi ki photo tum baad mein bhi dekh sakte ho." Pushkar got irritated and said, "aapki to shaadi hi nahi hui. Apko kya maloom biwi kya hoti hai." Jay replied, "pachas pachas kos dur tak jab raat ko ladkiyaan mujhse milne ke intezaar mein nahi soti to unki ma kehti hai beti so ja kam se kam sapne mein agar gabbar mil jaye." Pushkar said, "thik hai thik hai. Ha woh aap pooch rahe the na kitne aadmi the, woh do the." Jay shouted, "bahut na insaafi, woh do the aur tum teen the fir bhi bhag aaye?" a cook interrupted, "sardar aadmi to do the magar do aurat bhi thi. Aap nahi jaante aajkal ki ladkiyan bahut powerful hoti hai. Unse nipatna hamare bas ki baat nahi." Jay yelled, "sharam nahi aati gabbar ke admi hoke aisi baat karte huye? Tum teeno ko main aaj hi service se terminate karta hoon." A cook pleaded, "sardar humne aapka namak khaya hai." Jay smiled wickedly and said, "ab, ab, ab,…………kisi aur namak kha."
Scene-5
There was a party going on. Rano-saahil, bani, tarun, aditya, jigyasa, anu, ranveer, raashi ruled the floor. Jay silently made entry among them. Saahil was saying to rano, "radha, radha woh main……" rano said, "don't you dare to say that." Jay realized that they were teasing each other. He felt lonely as his face was hanging when he collided with someone. He started looking from bottom and finally his eyes fell on bani's face. Both of them had a session of eye-lock. Tarun broke them apart.
Scene-6
Jay was talking to masi. He said, "masi aapki basanti mujhe bahut pasand hai. Main usse shaadi karna chahta hoon." Masi replied, "lekin tum to daku ho. Main ek daku ke saath basanti ki shaadi nahi karvaaoongi. Meri nazar mein ek aur ladka hai. Veeru bhi ek hi baat keh kar gaya hai." Jay angrily said, "are woh aapki basanti ke liye kya kar sakta hai? Kuch bhi nahi. Mujhse poochiye. Main laashe bicha doonga." Tarun overheard the conversation and interrupted, "masi agar aapne ha nahi ki to main walia mansion ki chat se kood jaaoonga." Jay said, "main koodne mein tumhari madad kar doonga, free of charge." Saahil was quiet till now. This time he said, "masi yeh nautanki kar raha hai kyunki walia mansion me chat toh hai hi nahi." Masi said, "jhoota kahin ka" pointing towards tarun.
Scene-7
Aditya said to both saahil & tarun, "tum dono ko maine love story banane ke liye nahi bulaya hai. Gabbar se badla lene ke liye bulaya hai. Jao kuch kaam karo." Both of them got charged up and left for gabbar's place.
Scene-8
Pushkar, rohit, tony were holding tarun. Jay arrived with bani. He said to her, "maine suna hai tum bahut acacha naachti ho." Tarun shouted, "basanti, in badmaasho ke saamne mat naachna." Jay said, "agar tum naachi to main isse chod doonga." Bani replied, "to ye baat hai. Waise to main ise chudana nahi chahti, bahut irritate karta hain mujhe. Lekin tum itne pyar se mujhe nachne ke liye keh raho, toh main mana kaise kar sakti hoon. Let's dance."
Scene-9
Tarun said to saahil, "yaar mujhe lagta hai thakur saab ko bulana padega. Gabbar ko hum akele handle nahi kar sakte kyunki ab basanti bhi uske saath hai." Meanwhile aditya came and said, "chalo hum sab gabbar ko dekh lenge." Aditya was facing jay. Jay said, "thakur baat kya hai? Tumhe mujhse kya dushmani hai?" aditya angrily said, "tumhe yaad hai tumne mera chlormint liya tha." Jay said, "ye baat hai. Pehle batana chahiye tha na. tum jab ja rahe the tab maine tumhare pocket mein usey daal diya tha kyunki mujhe yaad aaya doctor ne mujhe chewing gum khane se mana kiya hai." Aditya put his hand in his pockets and found a chlormint there. He broke it into two parts and gave them to tarun and saahil. Both were happy at the turn of events as they need not fight with jay anymore. While chewing the gum, tarun asked, "hum chlormint kyun khate hai?" everyone shouted, "doobara mat poochna."
The play ended. Jeet was already standing on the sofa and jumping with joy. Everyone thought, "mission accomplished." Then came a phone call. Bani received the call. It was abhay on the other side of the phone. He said, "bani, jeet se kehna, jiya mt. abu wapas aa gayi hai. Yahi mauka hai usse apni dil ki baat kehne ka." Bani put the receiver down and said to jeet, "ye jiya ka kya chakkar hai? Tum usse pyar karte ho?" jeet nodded affirmatively. Jay said, "usi ko shayad yaad karke bechara subah chup chap baitha tha. Kal raat hum dono ko dekh kar shayad iske mann mein bhi kuch kuch hua tha." Bani said, "jeet kya tum mt. abu jana chahte ho?" jeet again nodded affirmatively. Everybody laughed at his response. Bani said, "taiyyar ho jao, hum abhi niklenge. Kahin der na ho jaaye." Jeet jumped off the sofa. His hairs have settled down to more or less a decent look. Jay said, "ha ha chalo taiyaar ho jao. Lekin ye kya? Sofa par kud kud kar dekho kitni dhool lag gayi hai. Chalo pehle main tumhe nilha deta hoon." Jeet screamed, "Maeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaea."
Finally the journey has come to an end.
Hope, you won't forget jeet although if he gets busy with jiya.
