PART 25

School ended around 4 in evening, geet and meera went out with the rest of the crowd. As they reached gate, geet saw maan standing there, waiting for her. she was confused as his office didn't ended before 5:30 so how come he is here, while meera was elated seeing maan there.

She went and hugged him, it's been long since I saw you, last two months you didn't even came home, she complained to him while maan smiled seeing her so happy. I was busy chutki, he said but then meera pinched him tightly making him growl.

What are you doing, he said, as he rubbed the paining area, she pulled him by hand as she lowered him to reach his ear and said, don't call me chutki in public, that's ok only in the walls of my house, yha pe I have a repo to maintain!!! And please not in front of geet too sanjhe??? Ok madam, he said and then turned to geet who was standing there with open mouthed as she looked at the comfortableness between them.

Oh geet, you must have already meet meer, my friend's sister and meera she is geet. Your??? Said meera when he didn't explained geet's relation with him. She is my relative; he lied not looking at geet's eyes. Well maan bhai, you know she is just like me, kya jawab diya tha us kamini nisha ko, she said as she winked at geet, while maan looked at geet who just looked away from him.

Meer, language!!!, maan chided her, while she just ignored and said, waise aap wo hostel letter ko jaldise sign kar dena so that she can shift with me!!! Bhut maza ayega, she squealed in excitement while maan wondered which hostel letter and he knew by looking a glance at geet that she won't tell him here, so he need to wait till they reach home.

After few minutes they decided to leave, maan asked meera that he will drop her at her place but she declines, bhai where will you drop me when I am already at my place, I live in hostel here, she said giving him a smile. But your family is in the town now, then why didn't you shift with them??? Said maan giving her an incredulous look.

Ufff bhai, since last two years I am living in hear, and since I am on scholarship, everything is free so why to shift with them when I can enjoy in here without a single penny expense, and by the way they are more than happy to keep me away, chalo am going now, I need to finish some business, she hugged maan again and saying a bye to geet she ran away to her hostel.

After bidding bye to meera, maan turned to geet, who was busy fidgeting with her skirt. Let's go home, he said as they moved toward the auto. They were on the way to home when maan's cell ringed, hii adi, maan said. Maan where are you, Mr. Sharma was looking for you, adi said rubbing his forehead. Something important, asked maan getting tensed. Ha yaar, it's about that new bidding our bank is going to participate, he said you have some important documentation and that's why he was asking about you, but don't worry I have handled him saying you have gone to meet our bandra client, kal when you come here, say what I have said ok!!! Yup dude, will do that!!! By the way thanks for saving me yaar, warna is Sharma ne to mera band bajana hai, he said still tensed with this sudden interrogation.

No worries yaar, by the way where are you, you never bunked office earlier like this, said adi giving his famous laugh. Nothing just some personal work, he said giving a look to geet whose eyes were fixed on him. They both cut the call after wishing byes and then maan turned to geet to start his questions but were cut in mid by her, how come you are early when your office gets overs at 5:30.

Umm, wo I came to pick you up, so took half day, he said looking everywhere other than her. hmm, half day or direct bunk???? Umm jo bi hai, how was your day geet???? It was nice, teachers are good too. Bas introduction hua and actual studies will start from tomorrow. Hmm he nodded, while she rethaught about the offer MR. shekhawat gave her.

Yesterday, he got so worried just because he didn't heard my voice for five minutes and today he bunked his office so that he could pick her up, when he had already told her which route to take to reach home. She wasn't getting good vibes with this increasing protectiveness, possessiveness of his. This way he is getting too much involve with me, aise how will he think about his life??? Her mind was lost in thoughts as they reached their home.

It was evening and neither maan asked about the letter issue nor did she tell him. She was busy contemplating what should she decide, as knowing him he will out rightly refuse. She was lost in her thoughts, when the doorbell rang.

There stood mrs agarwal, secretary of the colony. She greeted geet and they both took seat inside. Aap yha, kuch kaam tha, asked geet after offering pleasantries and some snacks. Ji geet, I came here to tell you about the basic information and help you in the basic need of homes, ofcourse if you require help only. Geet as you have newly shifted here, I thought to ask you if you need anything, or any help in setting house.

No house was already arranged perfectly, thank you for that, said geet smilingly. Welcome dear, by the way do you need any help in household, like maid or servants. I know it's quite difficult to find servants these days and since you are school student you must be needing help. Mr agarwal told me that you and your relative mr khurana had only shifted here, so umm I thought to ask you about that.

Geet thought for the while about maid, but then she was used too of doing household so there wasn't much of a need and politely refused, nahi aunty, now I am handling the work but if I will need, I will surely ask you. That's ok bte, here this is my number, you can contact me anytime and for anything, ok??? Ok aunty, I will. Soon mrs agarwal left telling geet about the neighbors and basic detail of colony.

Geet was cooking dinner when she saw maan coming back from office. He had went back again after an hour to meet that bandra client to save himself from mr sharma. He was tired, and precisely more because of the travelling he did today. He had to actually go twice around the city today, just because he had to pick her up.

She offered him water and asked him to come to kitchen, as food is done and is served. She thought who will do all these work then, if she will go away. Surely, she can't expect maan to do these, when he doesn't even know how to boil milk. She was contemplating when maan came on the table.

After having their food, they were sitting in the hall, surfing through some channels while he completed his pending work. She thought to tell him now and ask his opinion.

Suniye, she called taking a deep breath, hmm he said still immersed in his work. Sunoye to, she again called, maan again said hmm, but then he remembered the scene in delhi when he hadn't responded properly and she tore away his paper. As the thought came, he immediately lifted his head looking at her properly, umm bolo, kya hua.

She took a deep breath and said, you remember about meera saying some form, mujhe usi bare me puchna hai. He got tensed hearing that, he had forgot about the form in his work, but now seeing her so tensed he knew some new bomb she is going to blast.

He asked as he sat straight now, his full concentration on her. wo, umm, wo aj professor said that since we hadn't filled any proper address at the time of my admission and written my home town as delhi, they have granted scholarship which includes free hostel facility too. No need to pay a single penny for it.

Hmm, but it's useless now, we have a home and you are living in here, so there isn't any need of hostel, right??? He tried to portray his calm, but only he knew how fast his heart was beating hearing the issue. He hoped geet would refuse the topic itself, but he can read her atleast this much to know what she is thinking at the moment.

Ahh, wo actually, I wanted to live in hostel, she said as she looked at his eyes now, showing she really wish to do that. But geet what's the need of it, aren't you happy here that you want to shift in some hostel where you don't even know anyone, he said his voice lost his calm the very moment he heard her refusal. He felt as if life is slipping out of his hand and he has the last opportunity to save himself from his death.

He said that I can shift with meera too, she said in reply.Do you trust meera more than me; he asked clearly disapproving her answer. Aap aisa kyu sochte ho, she said looking at him with sad face. To what should I think, um hi batao, we are together since last 50 days and you met meera just today and you want to shift with her leaving me, it clearly says you trust her more than me, he said as he stood up looking away from her.

Maan, she said appalled with his thinking, at least listen to me please, she said as she tried to explain herself, but he just walked away, not at all listening to her. She stood rooted in her place as she saw him walking out. Why we can't have a normal talk ever, why our anger and our emotions take toll over our thinking, she thought as she decided to talk him in one way or the other.

Maan entered his room, as he closed the door behind and kept his head back on the wooden door. Why it burns to know that she trusted some other person more than me??? Why her each word affects me triple the time it should effect??? Why I can't see her going away like this. Har waqt I fight with myself, my heart, my mind to keep me in control, but till when I will do this. It's feeling so suffocating now, all this shouldn't be the way it is.

Ab mai kaise roku use, I had refused suhana with that confidence because she never asked me to let her go, she never showed that she will go, phir aj jab wo khud mujhse judaai mang rhi hai t mai kaise inkaar karu, kaise????

He went and lay on bed, switching the lights off, as he recollected her words. And that's when he heard the creak of door opening. He immediately closed his eyes as he knew she is again back to ask/tell him her wish.

She came and sat beside him on the bed. She saw his eyes close but his restless breathing was the proof he isn't asleep yet. she took his hand in hers, holding it with both her hands and said, I know you aren't asleep yet, just trying to avoid me, hai na. He didn't said anything, nor he removed his hand from her hold.

Maan, I know I am hurting you with my wish, but please listen to my logics too, and the end I will do what you will want me to. Chahe hostel ho ya ghar, I will accept anything but please listen to me. His eyes were closed but his ears were fixed on hers, hearing her each word with utmost clarity.

Maan I want to give time to both of us. I know you won't agree but you are being involved with me more than it is required. Yaad hai, you said you will free me from this relationship the day I will become independent, but you really think you will be able to if you get attached so much with me. Similarly, I know you value this relationship, but I don't yet. suhana dii said I should be giving a chance to you, but how can I till I don't get my mind cleared. Maan I know shifting to hostel isn't the only solution. But remember yesterday, aap kaise pareshan ho gye the just because you think something happened to me aur aj you bunked your office to drop me home. I know all these aren't sufficient reasons but they are the basic reasons for me shifting hostel.

It won't only give us time, but it will relief you of my responsibility too. You won't have to worry because you will be knowing I am in the safe premises of building and you won't have to drop me as I will be living there itself. Secondly I think living in hostel will make me independent too. Aj aap ho jiske paas mai har choti issues leke ati hu but may be living alone will teach me how to handle myself.

Aur mai aapko ek main baat bolu, I want you to move on in life without me. I want you to give time to yourself, be the careless man you used to be before that marriage and be the lovely person you are in reality. You won't have to wear this faade of hating me every day, nor will you have to face me every day. And I am not going far, I am in the same city, jab bhi meri yaad aye, you can meet me and I will see you too whenever I miss your anger and care.

Aur ha, I know you are scared for letting me alone in a place where you won't be able to take care of me, but maan I want to learn to take care of myself now, and I hope you will understand me. Aur ha, agar mujhe kabhi bhi ek guide or guardian ki jarurat padi to you will be the first person whom I will call, even before suhana diii. She pressed his hand as if specifying ki it's truth.

She stood up to go, but then stopped and said, maan aap ko ghar ki bi chinta nai karni padegi, as I have asked mrs agarwal to send a maid if I am not here. Maine apne man ki baat boldi, now it's your decision, whatever you will decide I will accept blindly and I have two days to inform school, she said and walked out.

Maan opened his eyes when he heard the sound of door closing and replayed the word she said. Hmm, he had to decide now, well he had already decided what he will do.
