This Update is Dedicated to Anjali...Happy Early Birthday Dear!!

Arjun entered the Singhania Mansion while whistling. Rudra drew his attention towards Arjun from the magazine. He put the magazine on the table. Looking at Arjun intently, he kept rubbing his chin with confusion. Lost in his thoughts Arjun walked pass Rudra, by now he was humming KMH2 tune. Rudra stared his son with disbelief; first he comes home whistling, then suddenly starts humming some romantic tune. Off course Arjun didn't notice Rudra, otherwise he wouldn't walk pass him. Rudra couldn't digest his son's behavior...Arjun was whistling and humming at late night like a lover boy. It was hard for Rudra to believe that his son would do such kind of act. He thought "kahi mera beta pagal toh nehi ho gaya ya phir ye mera beta hai hi nehi"

Something clicked in Arjun's mind; he took two steps back and stood in front of Rudra. He looked at Rudra with amusement "Dad are you still awake?" Rudra casually stated in a questioning manner "oh come on son! Am I that old?" Arjun let out a laugh "oh come on Dad! you know very well I didn't mean that? But did you see the time?" Rudra immediately remembered the scenario that he witnessed a while ago. Rudra chuckled "haan beta I know it's late, but shayed tumhe yaad nehi tha. Isiliye toh you were whistling and humming" Arjun raised his eyebrow "mein?" He himself didn't know...what he was doing under the influence of his feelings that just started to come out from his heart. Rudra nodded his head "off course tum! aur waise bhi your mom is sleeping, aab mein toh nehi ho sakta" Arjun rolled his eyes "Dad?" After a pause, Rudra asked Arjun as a friend "so how was your evening?" Just the mention of evening made Arjun blushed like a teenage boy; there was a boyish smile on his face. He shyly touched the back of his head "Dad it was amazing, the best evening of my life"

Rudra gave a satisfied smile "wow! Great son! Toh what are you thinking now?" Arjun lost in thought "Dad you know when you told me to go for dinner, I hated it. Mujhe toh aap pe bhi bohot gussa aya tha. In fact, mujhe toh ye bhi laga tha that I will jump off from the car. Until I went to the restaurant...I can't tell you mujhe kia mil gaya! I got the most precious gift of my life...the best thing that ever happened to me. And I have you to thank for everything Dad. It's all because of you. aur aap hi kehte the na God has his will. I understood his gesture Dad...I have got it. I can't express my joy to you Dad; I just love you. Love you for being my guardian angel. Love you Dad" saying he hugged Rudra with vast amount of emotion. Rudra was little hesitant with Arjun's sudden change, but he ignored it. As of now only Arjun's happiness mattered to him, he found the old Arjun today. Since Arjun's return, Rudra has lost his son pretty much. But Arjun was glowing today, he seemed the happiest person on the earth...just like before he was. Rudra also engulfed his son with the same joy.

After breaking the hug Rudra expressed delightedly "I am really happy for you son. Now I can relax! Finally you found a life partner for you. aur aab humein shaadi ki preparations bhi leni hai." saying he put his arm around Arjun's shoulder. Arjun smiled "no Dad, abhi nehi! I still have to take care of few matters. I need to make things right before further approach." Rudra wasn't sure so he said "ok as you feel right, but I must say she is a nice girl. mein toh kehta hoon best for my son. After today mujhe pata hai Roshni tumhe bohot khush rakhe gi" The mention of Roshni's name blew away Arjun's mind. The shadow of clouded sky fell over Arjun's face. "Wait a second! kya Dad ko laga I am happy cause of Roshni?" Rudra was still talking monotonously, but Arjun gave him a disapproval look. On catching Arjun's different eyes, Rudra questioned "kya hua Arjun?" Arjun turned around sideways and faced Rudra. He was serious "Dad I need you to answer me first, ok! Mujh mein ye saab change and all, kya aap ko laga ye saab Roshni ke liye? I mean you think I was talking about Roshni?" Rudra furrowed his eyebrows "well, yeah obviously!"

Arjun literally yelled "no Dad never! I wasn't talking about her, I mean why would I talk about her?" Rudra raised both of his hands to stop Arjun "wait Arjun! I think there is some confusion. Tum Roshni ke saath dinar karne gaye the toh what do you mean?" Arjun calmed himself "ok Dad listen carefully and don't get frustrated please! Yeah Roshni went with me aur wo thi waha, but restaurant pe mujhe Arohi mili thi. Roshni didn't make any difference in my life and she can't. It's Arohi Dad...I met my Arullu after so long. Apko pata hai ussne mujhse theek se baat bhi nehi ki. Still I am the happiest person on this earth. Aur galti meine kia tha, so I will fix them. I am nothing without Arohi Dad; it was always Arohi. Now I know mujhe kia chahiye and I will win her back at any cost." Rudra was startled by Arjun's confession "Arjun are you all right? Tum phirse uss ladki ke peeche bhag rahe ho? Beta you are just getting back on your foot, why do you want to ruin your life?" Arjun stubbornly "No Dad! You are wrong this time. If things are right in my life then reason bhi Arohi hi hai. I am not the careless Arjun anymore; I have changed. From now on I want to be happy aur mere khushi Arohi se hi hai" Rudra angrily "Arjun, are you out of your mind? Meine Roshni ke saath tumhara rishta tey karliya hai. You have no choice" Arjun with determined voice "I don't want choice Dad because Arohi is my sole destination. apke bete ki zindagi mein agar koi hoga toh Arohi warna koi bhi nehi" Arjun said the last sentence and headed upstairs without looking back. Rudra was in grave thought for few mintues; he mysteriously spoke to himself "mein bhi tumhar baap hoon Arjun, shadi tum wahi karoge jaha meine decide kia tha!"

Arohi was lost when she entered the house. Both her parents were waiting for her. She also failed to notice Sudhir and Amrit. Arohi kept walking aimlessly when Sudhir called "beta?" An exhausted Arohi touched her forehead; her constant thoughts were making her go crazy. He had the potential to turn her life upside down only in few hours. Nothing else, but she lost her emotional balance completely. Composing herself Arohi looked at her parents "ji Dad" Sudhir worriedly asked "tum theek ho na? Hum logo ko tumne notice bhi nehi kia!" She gave them a faint smile "Dad I am perfectly all right, I am just tired. Pehle office then diner, thoda aram kar lungi toh I will feel better" Amrit was about to ask "paar beta..." but Sudhir held her hand to make her stop. Amrit looked at him with questioning eyes to which Sudhir only nodded his head. He smiled "Arohi you go and take rest. We will talk tomorrow" Arohi sighed a relief and hurried upstairs to find her comfort. The moment she was out of sight Sudhir spoke "Amrit it isn't right time to raise question about Swayam. Humari bachhi thaki hui hai. Let her rest, hum kaal subah baat karenge. Trust me saab theek hoga" Amrit smiled in agreement, now they were waiting for morning to come.

1 Week Later
Arohi was in the backyard; she was sitting on the swing. The force of heave breeze kept moving it back and forth slightly. Arjun was flashing on her phone screen. Since last few days he had called her countless number of times, but she kept ignoring the calls purposely. Finally she picked up..."Arohi please don't cut the call. Before you speak, mujhe apne baat kehne ka please ek chance do" Arohi remained silent, Arjun took it as her permission. There was pin drop silence; only sound of air can be heard. Arjun took a deep breath "Arohi mujhe pata hai I have no right to interfere in your life and I had have hurt you a lot. I know I am at fault and meine khud hi sab haq khoya hai. Aur aaj bhi mein ye sach apni khatir hi keh raha hoon. Because I can't afford to put my life in stake; Arohi I love you...I have always did...mujhe hamesha se apne Arullu se pyaar tha...baas pata nehi tha" The air also stopped blowing, two birds started humming from a tree. The gardener sprinkled water over the plants a while ago. Some drops still remained over flowers; the petals were smiling bringing a new joy over the atmosphere. The moment Arohi heard "I Love You"; she closed her eyes unknowingly. She felt content and fearful; her heartbeats were racing fast. She was so overwhelmed that her eyes became moist. She didn't know how to react; a teardrop flew from her eyes. She heard a voice "Arohi?" It was Sudhir; Arohi's trance broke just on time.

On the other end Arjun was still waiting to hear from Arohi. Before she could hang up, Sudhir already came in front of her. She made a fist and held the phone tightly. "Tumhari engagement day fix ho gayi hai. Uss din tumne kaha that you don't want to get married. Paar aab mujhe lagta hai it's time for you to settle down. I hope you are ready." Arohi didn't speak; she didn't have the courage to protest. Sudhir continued, "That means you are ready. Mujhe janke khushi hui. Shefali ayi hai, jaldi se andar ajana" saying he left. Arohi held the phone near her ear again "Arohi tumhari Dad kya keh rehe hai? I mean engagement...mujhe pata hai tum nehi..." Arohi broke the ice before he could continue and make her more confuse. "please stop it! Tumne suna na Dad ne kia kaha? Meri engagement ho rahi hai. Dad jo chahte hai mein bhi wahi chahti hoon. I am happy, please leave me alone" she begged. He was determined "so answer me one last time, kia tum mujhese pyaar..." Before he could finish Arohi answered harshly "nehi karti, you were a good friend only. I don't..." saying she cut call. She couldn't even mention the word love; Arohi fell on her knees while crying. Arjun's heart didn't believe a single word that came out of her mouth, but his mind accepted her bitter denial as reality.

Next Day
Arjun came to Romit's house to provide himself a stress free environment. He was holding too much inside, maybe Romit's company and few drinks could help. Romit "tujhe pata hai Arohi ki engagement hai kaal" Arjun didn't reply, he took another sip. Romit continued "Shefali ne bataya mujhe, she invited me from Arohi's side" Arjun still didn't reply, he ignored the topic carelessly. Romit angrily "for God's sake Arjun I am talking to you, I don't give a damn attitude le ke kab tak chale ga? What are you both doing? Tu kisi aur se aur Arohi kisi aur se shaadi, when we all know you both love each other." "Arohi kisi aur se shadi" was enough to boil Arjun's blood. It was time for Arjun's outburst "well I did give a damn Romit! meine kia tha call the Great Ahluwalia ko. pata hai usne kia kaha, mujhe apni shadi ka good news di." He poked on Romit's chest "meine toh ye bhi ke diya that I love her, but usne apne ghamand tale saab todh diya. Mera dil todh diya" He drank another glass in one go "tujhe pata hai wo toh mujhse pyaar hi nehi karti. Aur mein bekwoof usse dil de betha. I have mistaken her emotions as loveee." He waved his left hand in the air "hum celebrate karenge uske liye. Cheers!!" saying he showed the glass to Romit. He yelled "after all Arohi ki shaadi hai...kisi aur se" The next monent...BANG echoed in the whole room. The glass was broken into pieces in Arjun's hand. His hand was covered with blood and face was distanced from any emotion.

Romit came running "oh my God! Arjun what have you done? Pagal hai...kitna blood nikal raha hai. Give me your hand, jaldi se bandage karna parega" Arjun snatched away his hand before Romit could take a hold of it "rehne de Romit, thoda dard hi toh hoga. dil jalta hai toh aur zayda takleef hoti hai. agar tere paas treatment hai toh de mujhe?" asked Arjun fumbling towards Romit. The flow of blood didn't want to stop; neither did he have any wish to stop it. Romit slowly spoke "Arjun please give your hand" Arjun shook his hand "nah! nehi hai tere paas, but mere paas kuch hai. Wait!" Arjun started searching for his phone "mil gaya" He dialed Rudra's number "Hi Dad" From the other end "Arjun did you drink?" "No Dad I am celebrating. Will not you ask why?" Rudra listened silently "Dad aap chahte the na mein shadi karlu, Dad I am ready. Aap jaha kahenge mein waha shadi karunga, paar Dad...engagement kaal honi chahiye ok. Kaal" Without listening to Rudra he cut the call, turning to Romit he announced "give me a hug buddy, I am getting engaged tomorrow" Arjun went back to the bar leaving a baffled Romit behind. Romit's phone rang; it was Shefali. After a while Romit went to Arjun "Arohi ka phone hai" Arjun raised his eyebrow in return, Romit explained to him "shayed kuch kehna chahti ho, ek baar baat toh karle usse" Arjun laughed like a crazy man "haan shayed apni shadi ka invitation dena chahti ho" "Arjun behave yourself, tu kya bol raha hai tujhe pata bhi nehi" warned Romit. Arjun with a firm voice "all right usse jo nehi pata mein wo kehta hoon, tell her I am getting engaged tomorrow aur jaldi shadi bhi karunga" By now his face was red with anger, he pushed the bottle and it broke into pieces. Without looking back Arjun walked away. Romit didn't have to explain anything to Arohi because she heard it all.

Shefali asked "kia kaha Arjun ne?" Arohi's voice was numb "shadi kaar raha hai" Sheflai was taken aback "what are you saying? Usne gusse mein keh diya hoga" Arohi lost her patience "baas Shefali aab uska side Lena band kaar. Koi pyaar nehi karta wo mujhse. He is just insecure; he wants to claim everything as his. I am not a toy. Phirse usne mujhe dard pochaiy hai. I can't forgive him" Shefali felt bad, she wanted to say something but stopped midway. Arohi wiped her tears "Dad ne jo bhi decide kia, I am ready for it. Mein unke choice ki ladke se hi shadi karungi." She looked at Shefali "I had enough, mere saath aisa phir kyun hua Shefali? Arjun ne mere saath kyun kia aisa? Kyun?" Shefali had no answer; she just wrapped Arohi in her hug to give some comfort.

Next morning, Arjun came down to receive the biggest shock of his life. The Singhania Mansion was a full house. His house was getting decorated like a bride...just the way it happens in a wedding. He thought, "What the hell is going on?" His head was already bursting from yesterday's drinking and now this new drama. Kumud was passing by, Arjun called "Mom?" but she avoided him. Before he could follow Kumud, his eyes fell on someone. Shockingly it was his buddy Romit. He was giving instructions to the workers. Arjun raised his eyebrow and stood behind Romit. Romit turned to find Mr. Killer staring him intently. Romit waved a soft "Hi" "what the hell is happening and what are you doing with them?" Arjun asked nonchalantly. "mein...wo...Uncle bula rahe hai" saying Romit ran for his life. Arjun yelled "Romit" He threw his hands over head with annoynence "koi mujhe batayega ye saab kia ho raha hai?"

That's when Rudra put his hand around Arjun's shoulder. "gussa kyun karte ho beta? Mein tumhe bata ta hoon na kia ho raha hai?" said Rudra courteously. Arjun with doubtful voice "aap batayenge mujhe?" Rudra nodded his head in yes, so Arjun gave it a shot "so tell me?" Rudra had a huge smile "tumhari engagement ki preparation" Arjun's eyes became big in horror. He felt it was a dream. Arjun was agitated, the atmosphere became suffocating for him. He questioned Rudra angrily "meri engagement? Apne mujhse poccha kaab?" Rudra made a face "wait a second son! I didn't ask you, but you have asked me to make arrangments. Aur haan tum ne ye bhi kaha tha aaj hi engagement honi chahiye." He slightly slapped Arjun's back "I see, tumhe shadi karne ki bohot jaldi hai" Rudra pasted a victorious smile on his face and started conversing over phone again. Arjun held his eyes in frustration. He tried to recall yesterday's phone conversation with his Dad. He cursed himself for taking so many drinks. Then he remembered Arohi's call "oh my God meine ye kia kya?" The whole world came to a collision. Realizing the destruction, Arjun ran fingers over his hairs.

He was running upstairs to grab the car keys, but bumped with Romit on the way. Arjun happily "Thank God Romit tu mil gaya! Shefali ko phone kaar aur Arohi ka address pooch." Romit shouted "kya?" Arjun gave him a look, Romit uneasily asked "mera matlab why?" "mujhe Arohi ke ghar jana hai. Now move! let me get the keys" "but wait, tu jana kyun chahta hai? Arohi toh kisi aur se shadi kaar rahi hai?" "shut up Romit! It was my fault ke meine usse apni marzi chalane di. Aur upar se kal toh haad hi kardi, tu ruk nehi sakta tha mujhe?" "tujhe? Mujhe marna tha kia? Bechari Shefali toh shadi se pehle widow ho jati?" Arjun glared at Romit "aab hat raste se, mujhe ye saab rukna hai" "pagal hai, thodi der bad teri engagement ki function hai. Aur Arohi ki ghar gaya na toh uske Dad tere legs todh denge" "I don't care" said Arjun stubbornly. "Arjun listen, you are going to mess up everything. Let the function take place, phir hum sochenge" "are you crazy? Mein kyun kisi aur se engagement karu aur Arohi ko karne doon? Kabhi nehi? Never!" "toh ja Uncle ko humiliate hone de aur Arohi ko uski reason bana" "paar?" "baas ring pehna dena, uske baad dekha jayega" Arjun sighed "ok fine! Teri idea bhi le lete hai" Arjun hugged Romit while pouting. Now he was in a new mission.

Arohi had no interest in her engament. After getting dressed, she kept staring herself on the mirror. Shefali was there to help her; she didn't like the upset look on her friend's face. "ye kia Arohi tu abhi tak beti hai? Ladke wale ate hi honge" Arohi didn't respond, so Shefali teased "Jiju ke kehyalo mein hai kya?" Arohi answered irritatedly "please Shefu aaj Mazak nehi" Now it was time for Shefali to lecture Arohi "kyun na karu? It's a big day for you Aru. Tune hi toh kaha tha tu khush hai. Arjun ke liye apna khushi maat ruin kar, he doesn't care about you. He is a stupid, idot. Wo kisi ki feelings nehi samajhta. He was just playing with your emotions. I hope wo kabhi khush..." Arohi tightened her grip on the comb "baas Shefu...ye kia bole ja rahi hai? Arjun ne mere saath jo bhi kia ho, you have no right to talk like that about him." "I am sorry Aru" "nehi Shefu tu sorry maat bol. Arjun ne mere saath jo bhi kia ho paar I can't wish bad about him in my wildest dream. Mein hamesha chahungi wo khush rahe, usse best mile. Paar ye bhi sach hai mein usse kabhi maaf nehi karungi." "Arohi tu ye shadi kyun kaar rahi hai, tu Arjun se itna pyaar jo karti hai" "paar Arjun mera nehi hai, aur ye shadi mein sirf Mom-Dad ki khushi ke liye kaar rahi hoon" Shefali hugged her from behind "aww Aru tujhe duniya ki sari khushi mile, aur dekhna Jiju tujhse bohot pyaar karenge" Arohi just smiled with the thought "pata nehi Dad ne kise choose kia hai? I hope mein Dad ko kabhi dissappoint na karu"

As soon as Arjun got down from the car, he got some old vibes. He stared the mansion for a while; then he observed the surrounding closely. "Romit lagata hai I saw this house somewhere. I guess koi photograph thi" Romit teased "sasural itna pasand aya ke tujhe purana rishta yaad arehi hai" Arjun gave him a look to which romit shut his mouth instantly. The girl's parents greeted Arjun's family. Arjun took his spot and glued his eyes to the floor. It seemed his eyes were meant for observing floors. The bride's face was covered under a veil; someone helped her coming down. Romit whispered to Arjun "teri dulhan arehi hai, paar uski face ghungat mein hai" Arjun rolled his eyes "I don't care, tu apna muun band rakh" They made her sit close to Arjun, to their surprise he didn't bother to look up. It was so awkward...his to be bride was there, but he seemed not to be interested.

They began the ceremony, Kumud handed a ring to Arjun. She forwarded Bride's hand, Arjun stared the ring for a minute. He gave a hard look to his Mom. It was the same ring that he bought for Arohi last week. He couldn't believe his Mom would do something like this. She pleaded with eyes...not to create a scene in front of everyone. Arjun closed his eyes to clam his anger. The moment he touched the girl's hand, he felt something. Her finers were rigid, seemed ike her fingers were also against this engagement or is she? He hurriedly made her wear the ring and took his hand back. Now it was her turn to put ring on his finger. She wanted to get over with this drama as soon as possible. She couldn't see properly because of the veil. So, she waited to get a hold of his hand. Arjun raised his hand to show them the bandage that he got last night. "koi baat nehi beta wo slowly tumhare middle finger mein dal degi" said Rudra. Arjun gave a fake smile and forwarded his hand. His bride was pretty cruel...instead of being gentle, she pushed the ring hard making him yell in pain. Arjun shouted "ouch...what the hell?" His voice was enough to alert his super intelligent Bride. She immediately pulled up her veil and yelled on top of her voice "tum?"
