Just read the spoiler article - I guess she does announce that she's leaving. I'm guessing she's made to believe she was and IS unwanted and discarded. Dejected, she'll decide to leave.

I think she is just in her room crying about her dad because if she was leaving it would be daytime and the Khans would be taking her to the airport at least.
