Men and women are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own minds. Until you make peace with who you are ... you'll never be content with what you have.
Contrary to the common perception, life is never a foregone conclusion. One has complete control of where one is going and how to go there...That is to say that there is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving and that's your own self, provided you don't allow extraneous factors and influences to decide your fate. This is where Aakash is going wrong. It's not that he hasn't positive influences through his life...he did. He might have been brought up in poverty by a single parent, but that parent tried to instill all the good values in him...a glimpse of which we have seen now and then. However, for some reason Aakash has always been attracted to wrong advice and erroneous company, probably because he always wanted everything as of yesterday...that is, he always took the shorter route to good things of life and ended up burning bridges. Even in the recent past, apart from Radha, he had positive influences like Yash, Aarti, and Gayatri trying to work things out for him, but his natural inclinations tilted him more toward Ishita's nefarious advices more than the seemingly sermonous ones of the others.
Aakash became putty in Ishita's hands because of his inherent nature. She is a politician's daughter and has learnt to take advantage of the weaknesses of a person. It didn't take her much long to gauge Aakash's persona and take the strings in her hands. In fact she is playing Aakash like a catapult...She pulls him as far back as possible from the family by poisoning his mind with revengeful plans and then releases him such that he takes the direction she sends him to; but then he has no control over his anger and sense of propriety and doesn't know how to curb his actions, so he goes and topples everything over. The day Aakash decides to take control of his life, he will himself forget that self-made red barrier and cross over...like he did today. Crossing over and going on to request his family to uphold his identity was not part of the original plan...it was a spontaneous gesture of a brother and a son asking for help. Today Aakash tasted first hand that in hour of crisis he stands alone, unlike Yash who had everyone helping him out...today Aakash faced first hand what Aarti alerted him about during the funeral: that when he will need the family the most, he will find himself alone. He only has the money to fall back to and not the family. Soon he will realize that money might have baled him out today but what of tomorrow? In the hospital, when facing a choice between mother and money, he chose money and lost all rights on his mother. He was the one who demarcated the household. He was the one who decided that being "Aakash Scindia" meant owning a share of the Scindia pie and not the family's love and togetherness. These were all his choices.
The problem is Aakash entered the rich man's world with some preconceived ideas about how to behave Rich. Initially he behaved on those lines...He threw tantrums and Gayatri listened to all his tantrums. He demanded and he got. In a way Gayatri cemented his convictions. Gayatri had her own reasons, which would have borne fruits in the end but unfortunately her life was cut short. Aakash is only doing what he was doing then, throwing tantrums, albeit in a more vicious manner because of Ishita's ill-advices and because after a certain point he loses control over his own actions. He wants what Yash has...Unfortunately he found that taking over his share and taking over Yash's room was not enough. He finds that in spite of demanding and getting everything, Yash's place in the family remained untoppled. So now he wants family to notice him and pay attention to his "identity" but unfortunately that's not getting him anywhere...he still remains unbelonged. This situation is rattling him now. When his father shouted at him for the first time, directly, and saying his name for the first time in anger, Aakash didn't strike back. These little things will make him realize soon what he is missing...and maybe then he will wisen up to his wife's machinations. The family's stand in not giving in to his pleas to acknowledge him was right in a way...Now Aakash knows that what Aakash demands Aakash doesn't always get...Like I said earlier: life is not always a foregone conclusion. He has to face the consequences of his own actions. Family will shield him only if his life is in danger...just as Yash saved him from those hot water-throwing gundas.
Yash and Aarti were at the end of their tethers as to what to do about the bhoj and were praying for a miracle, when Radha came up with the solution. She couldn't have gone to Pankaj and Vidhi, as they may not have entertained her butting in into family matters...as we saw earlier in Vedika's case how Vidhi didn't like it. So it was natural that she came to Yash. With Pankaj and Prateek being in attendance for the brahmans, it was left up to Yash and Aarti to work behind the scene...especially since Pari and bua backed out fearing the curse. Pari is getting sassier and more intriguing by the day. With Gayatri not around to tick her off, she is finally voicing her opinions, maybe more than is needed at times. She is deliberately locking horns with Aakash, knowing the family will back her and not him...yet when the time comes for her to back Yash and Aarti, she steps back fearing something she normally doesn't believe in. At least she made Prateek defend her ...for once.
We will see more of Radha's doings and undoings in the near future. CVs have begun building the grounds for her permanent stay...to pull her away from the background into the front...from the shadows into the limelight!!
That's it for today friends. Aakash wanted to replace Yash in every which way...but then he never realized that one's flaws and virtues are irreplaceable...Everyone has an in-built balance of one's own. It seems both Radha and Aakash will take steps toward the inner circle at the same time. That should ring warning bells for a certain Lady politician...
Have a nice day.😊
