Sameer sir always manages to get strong reaction out. Be it he comments about a show, industry or any social issues.

Agree that concepts such as homosexuality should be explored in Bollywood movies. What is so wrong in that? They are part of our society and minority just like any other group deserves fair treatment. Or saying largest democracy is just on papers?😕

US military for years had rule of "don't ask don't tell". After so many debates and whatnot, they finally lifted it. I have personally worked with professor who is Gay. I didn't even know about it and even after I know so what? That doesn't change a damn thing.

If anything should be censored is cheap item songs, dance moves or dialogues by so call "heroes" that can provoke young generation. Same goes with few reality shows on tv, but they are fine. After all it is a democracy 👏

Young generation😆 less said better it is😉

👏 Spot on..

I really think tht today's audience is matured n sensible enough to understand these issues..But yes these issues should be dealt wid sensitivity..

If anything shd b banned then it shd be those cheap item songs which has all vulger lines, expressions, n steps..yuck🤢

Lastly, reading through the comments on the thread (& keeping in mind some earlier posts too) leads me to deduce that the "anti-gay" remarks aren't so much anti-gay as much as they are anti-actor-in-question😉 which really isn't so much a crime at all😆 Well said👏
Amused to see that Samir always evokes a response...whether good or bad😆

@Bold Agree Fari,Love him or hate him,but you can't ignore him😉😆

I too know such ppl, just like u I too came to know about it later😆, n both gay/lesbians... they are just as normal as us and if I was not told I'd never know..

@ Bold In US tooConfused Coz swiss people made this matter a very big one, and there were arguments on how '' they '' should be banned from working in military. I remember my english teacher in 10th or 11th classe gave this as a topic to debate, and the shocking part was my teacher was in favor of banning and they teach us with such mentality 😲
i still dont know what was the decision Confused

@Rashmiji - yes SS has always been vocal and honest on various issues and I respect him for that. He is not afraid to say it like it is👏
Yes I have come across more than one person. One professor I worked with over a year and didn't know for long time and even after I knew so what? One lecture who was gay, found him bit weird but then I find so many people weird so it wasn't that😆
Read your views on items songs. What can I say, great minds think a like😉 But seriously item songs are no longer what they were in 70's & 80's with Helen who would actually dance. These days the lines and acts by beloved "heroes" and "heroines" leave more impact on young generation. But that is ok under democracy and sensitive issues are not?😕
@Rosh - yes US military for years didn't ban "them", but didn't allow them to say it. Hence "don't ask don't tell" US seems very open minded society to India but reality is not. I live in NJ near NYC so see free mind but US has 50 states and all very different.😆 This rule in military, gosh it was such a major issue for years and just last year they lifted it.
One simple fact about US, oldest democracy is still not ready to have a woman president and till date man make more wages for same job as woman. Now go with that😕
