I was missing Arnav and Khushi more than usual today, so I decided to make this post to take a short trip down memory lane.
Since IPKKND ended prematurely and because it donned tracks like the hate marriage, the kidnapping and the rubbish that compromised of the last two months, we were not very lucky when it came to having several sensual scenes.
BUT, today I realized, even though we didn't have the numerous romantic scenes that other fans might, the love scenes we got as ArHi fans are simply put, completely unbeatable.
Arnav and Khushi's love scenes radiate sensuality. So I thought why not capture a couple of the scenes that do just that?
1) Consummation
Why not start with the most obvious? This consummation was nothing extraordinary in terms of steaminess, but it has been set as one far ahead of its time. The most notable thing about this consummation scene, is the fact that the woman took the initiative. To see Khushi openly take part in showering her love for Arnav rather than just shy away was a new concept to grace our television screens; I was pleasantly impressed by the vision of this scene. Furthermore, while there were quite a few of us that were taken aback that the consummation occurred before marriage (including me), the scene was done extremely tastefully. There was no vulgarity or lewdness in the consummation, it only radiated the immense love that existed between two people.

2) After Haldi romance
Sanaya and Barun, KUDOS to the two of you on this scene. When I first watched this scene, I had to pause several times in between due to the goosebumps that I kept getting. Sensuality simply oozes through every moment of this scene. Barun's voice and his suggestive, yet at the same time, totally nonsuggestive dialogues, were enough to set anybody's heart on fire. The urgency of Arnav coupled with the innocence of Khushi was breathtaking. Even a simple gesture such as rubbing his cheek on her or caressing her back epitomized the sensual appeal of Arnav and Khushi. I was blown away by this scene.

3) Arnav tries to woo Khushi
Arnav's authoritative stance on Khushi as her husband was nothing short of downright sensual. His domination was very seductive, the look of his eyes almost intimidating with desire. His teasing her of his ability to love her due to his status as her partner was borderline abusive, but the way the scene was enacted by Barun and Sanaya rendered it very acceptable and appropriate. Arnav's inner turmoil and his extreme determination to convince his wife made the scene memorable. The hot tea and coffee wasn't needed to make this scene steamy.

4) Diwali
I think any words fall short for this scene. I think the Diwali sequence is my absolute favorite of all time. It had nothing more than glances and Arnav leaning in for a kiss, yet it is a scene that has surpassed all others of its medium on YouTube. The blaze in Arnav's eyes and Khushi's inability to control herself in her circumstances is just... unbeatable. There is absolutely nothing lewd in this scene, nothing even borderline lewd, yet it radiates sensuality in every glance, every movement. The gripping of his jacket, the scrunching of her sari, the following in the crowds, the unintentional glances. This scene... is just unparalleled. When I first saw it, I think Arnav's unfaltering gaze had me more breathless than Khushi herself. Diwali 2012 is just etched in my mind as the greatest scene and direction of all time, in the history of Indian television.
