When will Bollywood stop grovelling before H'wood?

The Spielberg episode was nauseating and hilarious at the same time. Do our Bolly top guns have ZERO self-respect?

Amitabh Bachchan has a role with Leo in the Great Gatsby. But, he hardly will get noticed. Such a shame for a iconic legend.

...you know, I didn't see this one as groveling to HW (or well that classroom interview type thing anyways)...I saw just a bunch of film enthusiasts being fangirls and fanboys. I found it kinda cute because it somewhat humanized them. Spielberg is huge, he's made tons of films that most of the directors probably grew up watching, loving, and being inspired from. I've seen them excited around the BW biggies too, but it's not everyday that you get to meet Spielberg since he doesn't reside nearby. Anyways, wouldn't we also be excited at the prospect of going to meet a childhood favorite?

Stars are also humans like us and are allowed to be fans once in a while, just my 2 cents. That doesn't mean they're "groveling to white dudes" or having "no self-respect." *shrugs*

But yeah when they suck upto folks like Gerard Bulter, it's a bit W*Fish.

^But it ain't just the young gen. The oldies were being just as fawny. About self-respect, why do established BW stars do bit roles in Holly movies and make a big deal out of it?

It is a big deal in getting a role in Hollywood as that industry is a pioneer in film making. Also it's globally recognised.

Which BW besides the South Asians living in other countries know them and other's who associate with them know about BW.

So why should not those directors fawn over Spielberg. Jurassic Park is amazing movie.
