Rani wants Babies

Rani Mukerjee is back in action after a long hiatus. The 'Black' beauty will soon be seen in Yash Raj film 'Tara Rum Pum' and Ravi Chopra's 'Baabul' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and John Abraham.

In her candid TV interview she admits that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black gave her a lot of self-confidence.

Rani says "I never thought I had any talent to be in films so it never occurred to me that I could be an actor until Black happened. It was the only role which I myself did not believe that there could be a role like that.

Probably it was something beyond my imagination. Black was one such role even took me by surprise. I was surprised at what I was doing."

She was only seventeen years when she did her first film 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat'. But after her first film she decided to put her heart and soul into acting. She just did all her roles with a lot of sincerity which finally paid off.

"My mother always had immense faith in me. She was the one who actually instigated my father, who has been a producer and a director in the film industry for a really long time. He used to say, 'there are sharks in the industry, so you can't get into the industry,' " reveals Rani.

Mukerjee also claims that her family, are her biggest critics and she is always extremely nervous when she views the first screening along with her family. But apart from being honest in their criticism if they genuinely like her performance they are equally lavish in their praise.

Rani definitely wants to get married and have children some day but she feels that she can never give up acting completely as acting is within her.

Say Rani, "I think every girl has that maternal instinct. I love kids too and I guess it's time now to have babies but I don't think I will leave acting because acting is something that makes me what I am.

"Acting is my being. I don't think I can live without it. I can be away from it for sometime, but can't give it away completely. You are going to see me for a long long time.

Nonetheless Rani feels that stardom is also a part of being an actor and one should eventually learn to accept it. And being a star means that your personal life, joys and sorrows become public.
