This week was definitely an awesome one, with so many Mitwa Moments for us Asad-Zoya fans. Today and yesterday's episode especially, it was such a treat to watch, and Asad was just so, so, so swoon-worthy, nothing I say can do justice to how adorable they two of them are together.
Even then, as much as this week had so many awesome Mitwa Moments for us to go crazy about as compared to last week (when there were close to none really), I was actually slightly more disappointed this week than last. Read on before you draw your swords out to slaughter me haha. It's just that I felt that this week was full of strange 'huh' moments (as in, moments where I'm staring at the TV screen with creases on my forehead, a big question mark hovering somewhere above my head, and a soft but audible 'huh' escaping my lips). I watch QH with my mom and sister on a daily basis, and so there's usually a healthy discussion going on amongst the 3 of us during the show. And many times this week, we found ourselves asking each other questions to clarify stuff because so many things didn't make sense. Don't worry I'll explain myself:
'Huh' moment 1: Rashid's release
I think this is the main one for this week. How in the world did Rashid get acquitted for a murder just by bribing an ordinary police officer? I mean, obviously the case had been filed, which is why even a court date was in order. Wouldn't it then make more sense to bribe the judge? I was seriously confused.
'Huh' moment 2: Ayaan's sacrifice
So Ayaan apparently made a great sacrifice by agreeing to marry Humeira. And Razia passed him the money as soon as he made a verbal agreement. To my knowledge, a Muslim wedding would require both parties to say qubool hai right? How can Razia possibly force Ayaan to say anything now, considering the fact that his father is already released? Technically, he doesn't even need to marry Humeira anymore. And let's say he doesn't realize this (or that he's simply a man of his word so he keeps his word), but then why would Humeira herself say qubool hai either? She knows that Ayaan doesn't love her. Basically, I don't understand how a strong villain like Razia would just agree to pass Ayaan the money on the basis of a verbal agreement with no eye witnesses.
'Huh' moment 3: Tanveer is Billo Rani
Why is Tanveer a villain? Is she not Asad's childhood friend? So why is she hell-bent on trying to destroy Asad's life? I mean, if she was an imposter it would've made slightly more sense. But since she isn't, why is there no explanation as to why she's so desperate for money? Is she bankrupt? Did something else go wrong? Did Asad hurt her in some way and so she's here to take revenge? For a childhood friend that was so close to Asad, it makes little sense as to why she's suddenly had a 360 degree change in attitude towards Asad and his family. For crying out loud, she even tried to burn them alive!!
Oh and my mom especially was highly confused (and slightly disturbed) about Tanveer's strange eye. What kind of problem is that? Also, why did she have to remove her contact lens just to meet Razia? She didn't seem to like being called Billo Rani, so why go to Razia with your cat eye? Then of course she's gonna liken you to a cat, it only makes sense.
'Huh' moment 4: Show promotion
Did Zoya and Najma really have to promote another show in the middle of intense drama going on around them? Why were they even watching TV at such a time anyway? It's so strange and out of place.
'Huh' moment 5: Billo the maid is Billo the thief
Why did Billo the maid steal Zoya's music toy? I don't think it's worth much money at all. And if she did believe that the music toy is worth money, why didn't she just steal that? Why did she take the big and bulky box too, wouldn't any thief with common sense know they shouldn't take stuff that's hard to hide while on the run?
'Huh' moment 6: Rashid's family's almost departure
Why in the world did Rashid have to have a discussion with Razia and Gaffur about leaving the house? Just leave if you want to, Razia has nothing to hold against you anymore since you're already acquitted of the crime.
'Huh' moment 7: Tanveer's almost departure
Tanveer finished her supposed work in Bhopal, and so she packed up to leave Bhopal altogether. It wasn't like she was moving out of the house and still saying in Bhopal. So why did Asad stop her? Doesn't it make sense that you go back to wherever you came from after you're done with your work in another place? If you're a businessman from let's say India, and you flew over to New York to work on a business deal. You have a close childhood friend who stays in New York, so you stay at his house while you're there. But once the deal is finalized, won't it make sense to fly back to India? If not your business will suffer! So I just really don't get why Asad stopped Tanveer from going back to wherever she came from. Whatever will happen to her successful salwar kameez business!!
'Huh' moment 8: Revelation of Zoya's Abbu
Why did Badi Bee tell Razia (her enemy, whom her entire master plan is based on) her whole wonderful plan? She brings the phrase 'keep your friends close and enemies closer' to a whole new level. Okay, but she's been doing that from the beginning of time, so I forgive her. But why did Razia launch into her story about the murder despite knowing that Badi Bee is not her friend but her foe? Razia was just divulging information like as though she was talking to her BFF. What if Badi Bee had a tape recorder on her? Didn't that occur to Razia at all? I was dying to hear the story, but the way it was introduced into the storyline didn't make sense.
And about the story, it seems Gaffur fell in love with Zainab, but was forced to have an arranged marriage with Razia. So for all these years, how did he live with and put up with the same woman who killed the love of his life and also put the daughter he had with the love of his life in an orphanage? And he couldn't even be bothered to see how his daughter was all these years, and then all of a sudden he shows so much concern about her when he hears the music toy. Where was this concern all these years? Oh and baby Zoya looked fine, it didn't seem like she was in the burning factory at all. So why does adult Zoya have burn wounds? If Zoya was left in the burning factory, Razia wouldn't have bothered to find her and put her in an orphanage. She would've just left her to burn and die.
'Huh' moment 9: Tanveer and Zoya go to the hospital
I think this has been mentioned before on the forum, but I have to put it here since I'm making a list. How could Asad have possibly received Zoya's phone call on his mobile phone from the hospital? He had JUST smashed his phone into pieces. And yes, Zoya and Tanveer (both adults) lost each other at the hospital, but why did Asad have to get so worked up about it? Is Tanveer not old enough to go to the doctor and return home safely in one piece on her own? Did I miss an episode where it was revealed that Zoya is Tanveer's mom? It was Tanveer who walked off from the hospital to receive a phone call, so technically the 'misunderstanding' was entirely Tanveer's fault.
'Huh' moment 10: Tanveer is pregnant
Tanveer is pregnant???!!! Okay that was just written for laughs, since I actually literally said 'huh' out loud to the TV screen when it was revealed that Tanveer is pregnant. But what I was truly confused about is, why did Tanveer ask Razia for help after she found out she's pregnant? What I have gathered from their interactions so far is that Tanveer did all of this for money, not because she's best buds with Razia. So I don't understand why Tanveer would be under any kind of illusion that Razia would bother to help her out with her problem. She informed Imran, the father of the child, at long last. Typically, if a girl gets pregnant out of wedlock, her first instinct would be to inform the father of the child before anyone else, would it not?
And so after informing Imran, and getting ditched, she decides that she'll go to Imran's place and humiliate him. What kind of a decision is that?! She didn't even make any proper plans and just turned up like that. Did she really think anyone there was going to give her a chance to speak? It was really quite a lame plan, for someone who claims to be good at planning villainous schemes.
Okay that's it for the 'huh' moments!
It's just that I'd spent this week with a question mark bothering me each episode, so I decided to share my thoughts here. Hope you enjoyed my silly rant. Maybe the producers will explain all of this strange behaviour in further episodes'? You never know! :p I'll just have to wait and watch I guess (:
But anyway, all that said and done, good thinking on their part making Imran the father of Tanveer's child!! Totally unexpected, so that was a good twist for sure (:
The highlight of this week for me was still definitely all the scenes with the soft smile trying its hardest to make a place on Asad's handsome face. It was just so adorable and heart-warming to watch Asad smile at even the tiniest silly antic of Zoya's. And the whole bol na halke halke sequence, Zoya didn't make a fool of herself at all in the end, contrary to popular belief that she would. In fact, I feel she just managed to pull Asad even closer to her <3 I swear I was softly sighing to myself throughout these scenes, making my mom worry about my sanity...
And the new promo omg!! <3 Just saw it. But if they're getting together, don't tell me a separation track is up next, my heart cannot take it!!
