Looking for the ‘X’ factor

Choreographer Ganesh Hegde will judge budding singers on 'Fame X.'

Ganesh Hegde is the judge in 'Fame X' (SAB), a reality talent hunt show for singers. "I am not a singer but my role as a judge will be to help search for the singer with that X factor, the charisma which will pull audiences towards him/her, not only when he/she sings but as a public personality, on the whole," says he.

Ganesh, who says he has always believed in creating an individualistic style for himself, also says that he is essentially looking for a person who will have the guts to carry of any such thing with lan, which people will initially scoff at. "The person should be at ease with one's style, however much it goes against the norms. In fact, the more it goes against norms, the better!" says Ganesh.

He, too, is set to break the norms with a radically different pop album that will soon be hitting the market. "It will be a fusion between Indian and Western tunes but the fun will be in watching it. I'd like to reserve my comments till the album comes out; let people see it and decide for themselves."
