Four years and 1,100 episodes later, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is still ruling TRP charts. Going beyond plots that revolve around a shrewd mother-in-law, scheming sister and vengeful girlfriend, producer Rajan Shahi took a risk by making a show without a villain or a vamp. It is the story of a young couple, Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik (Karan Mehra), their love, marriage, family and many misunderstandings, all of which makes for engaging viewing.
