Not sure though but in Shia caste, a husband has to give 3 Talaaq at three different occasions.. 3 Talaaq in one go will be counted as one talaaq..

but in Sunni caste.. 3 Talaaq in one go means marriage/nikaah is over.. like in the movie Nikaah, or in the paki serial Meri Zaat Zarre Benishan..

I would not like to move into Shia & sunni differences as Islam is to be practiced one way and one way alone- via the Quran an sunnah - anyone who does not practice is according to the only two defined sources is not practicing Islam but something else.

Divorce is a 3 step process- period 😊

Thanx alot for your efforts...much appreciated..I was just a lill curious about the 'Kahula'...from what I have heard, divorce is what the husband can give..which is to say 'I divorce you' three times..and 'khula' is what the women can take..as in if a woman is not happy within her marriage and her husband refuses to divorce her(since only he has the right to do so) then the woman can take khula from her husband...and the right to khula is not given to every woman...in the marriage contract that is the papers signed on the nikkah should have this special right of 'khula' given to the woman...now I don't know whether all this is true or not but this is what I understand of 'khula'...maybe you could clear my doubts :D

Saddy!!

That too is a misconception. The wife may institute divorce proceeding by making her request through the court following Islamic Law.

Very loaded statement if im understanding correctly. Understanding of sunnah will be different because the Hadith collections are different though there is overlap. If things were so absolute, imagine the unity. Anyway, this is not the place for such discussions.
