TOI: TV mums who look as young

Mouli Ganguly — Neelam Sivia
Apparently, Mouli wanted to quit Kya Huaa Tera Vaada since the track was too negative for her liking. She didn't want to continue post the 10-year leap, but did a volte face and agreed to play mother to a 22-year-old daughter, Anika, played by Neelam. The actress looks as young as she was earlier. Her western outfits in the show do not help the cause either.

Mona Singh — Sargun Mehta
Like Mona, Sargun is also an established actress. She has been part of a few shows before she took up Kya Huaa Tera Vaada to play Mona's daughter. The trouble is, Mona looks far too young to be the mother of a 22-year-old daughter. While Mona looked convincing as the mother of young kids — before the 10-year leap — her character ceased to age. Now, she looks almost as old as her daughter Sargun. What's the age difference, anyway?

I don't understand this whole stupid discussion! What is this motherly look??? I don't think that Mona looks younger then Sargun and I don't think Mona is not suitable to play the role of a mother lookwise!!! Age difference between Mona and her daughter is I guess between 19-21 years. There is an age gap of 21 years between my mother and me and in real life my mother is oftenly mistaken as my elder sister and my grandmother as my mother!! So it is possible!

Why is it a problem if mothers look good???
