QH has so far managed to keep its audience glued to Tv screens each day and then wait eagerly to see what's going to happen in the next episode. The reason for the audience's captivation is not one thing but many.
- It's a family drama- and connects with audiences of all age group.
- It has got a wonderful cast - from heart throb KSG to SJ who has captivated many with her wonderful acting.
- It is produced by 4 Lions - a reputed production house whose past shows were loved by many.
- The unique story - which showcases intense drama at times, humour and lighthearted fun at other times. And it also showcases love and romance and the bitter-sweet emotions associated with it and dark secrets of a past and some mysteries which has tangled each character in a web of deceit, revenge, power struggles( Raziya, Maamu and Rashid), frustrations, bitterness( Asad), unfulfilled love(Dilshad , Shirin and Rashid) and quest to know the truth(Zoya).
From the first few episodes itself, one important thing that intrigued me about Qh was the buried truth regarding each characters' past and the obvious way that past is influencing the present of each character and what they do and the decisions about their life which they are making.
So let us have a peek into each character's life and try to fathom the mysteries surrounding each.
RASHID - I am going to start with Rashid as Rashid is in a way the central character of this story, because some of his not so wise decisions and actions was what mainly caused the turmoil in many lives.
And Rashid is the one Character about whom it's still difficult to form a clear cut opinion because there is still so much about his past that we do not know. The things that we know about Rashid are these.. he was married to Dilshad in a love marriage. Then he got married to Shirin without the knowledge of Dilshad (and even Shirin not aware of the fact that he was already married to Dilshad). Then one day Shirin found out about his marriage to Dilshad and left him even leaving her small son Ayaan with Rashid so that Rashid had to take Ayaan and come to a pregnant Dilshad and tell her the truth and start to live with her.
Dilshad accepted Rashid back into her life and they continued to live a happy life till one fine day, maamujaan ordered Rashid to put fire in a Doll factory and Raziya took photos of him putting that fire and blackmailed him into accepting Shirin and leaving Dilshad forever
RAZIYA- We now know that Raziya is evil personified and can do any evil thing without a second thought. But the only thing that we know regarding Raziya's past is that she had hated and felt threatened by a woman so much so that she cold bloodedly murdered that woman inside a Doll factory one day.
Now there are so many mysteries and unanswered questions involving these two characters.What made Rashid marry Shirin while he was obviously in love with Dilshad? Was it just an infatuation and Rashid got carried away for some time and because it is allowed in Islam to marry two at a time, he just got married to Shirin?
Or was his marriage to Shirin in the first place a conspiracy set up by Raziya and Maamu?
Why was it so important to Raziya and Maamu that Rashid remains married to Shirin?
since it has now become very obvious that they don't have any real interest in Shirin and her welfare and that they don't really care about Shirin in any way this question is what's intriguing me most.
And Raziya could easily have made Rashid put the fire and destroy the evidence and let the matter rest and nobody would have known anything. But to Raziya and Maamu , keeping Rashid with them and married to Shirin was as important as hiding Raziya's evil deed. What was the reason for this? Does Rashid know the identity of the murdered woman and did he have any relationship with her?
What is Shirin's actual relation to Maamu and Raziya and who were Shirin's parents?
Why did Rashid agree to put fire in Doll factory so easily? Was he working for maamu? Even if he was why did he agree to such a thing so easily in the first place?
ZOYA- she is in search of her father and what happened to her family in the past. According to Zoya she doesn't remember anything about her father but remembers her mother a little. Which means Zoya's mother and father were obviously living separately.. So what circumstances led to this and who is Zoya's father?
Zoya has scars from a burn injury and gets nightmares about a fire about which she does not remember anything.. but if Zoya can remember her mother to some extent and if her mother died at an age in which Zoya can later remember some things about her life back then, why does Zoya not remember anything about that fire which caused her burn marks? Does this mean that Zoya and her mother got escaped from that fire and it happened when she was too small to remember it properly and Zoya's mother died some time later?
TANVEER - She is Asad's childhood best friend and neighbor, who has suddenly come out of nowhere back into Asad's life and started interfering in his life.
Billo Rani - Raziya said only billo Rani's chaal can get her the doll now. And she said it's time to bring the Vazir of the game. She also said that she is going to hit two targets with one arrow.
What or who are the two targets? Is it the doll and Asad? If so does Tanveer has some connection with Raziya and the maid who came to Asad's house as Billo?
Now, there definitely is some mysteries involved with the appearance of billo the maid and Tanveer, at the same time in Asad's household. Tanveer did not come there so that she can spice up the things between Asad and Zoya and make Zoya realize her feelings for Asad and vise vasa. She will do
that while she stays there but that is not the larger picture.. she is there with a purpose and so what is that purpose?
Now these are some unexplained things that have happened since these two came in to the picture.
Billo eavesdropped Dilshad's conversation with Zoya and even checked the phone after Zoya hung up. Why did she do it?
Soon after that Asad got the phone call from Tanveer and heard her shouting and rushed to the accident site.
Was that accident a pre planned thing, knowing exactly which bus Zoya was on?
Is Zoya also a target of Raziya's Theer?
And was Tanveer really on that bus?
Now something else has been really pulling my hairs since the last episode. It's the way Tanveer came and interrupted Asad and Zoya's conversation, the way she immediately noticed (or shall we say knew from beforehand) the tension between Asad - Zoya and Asad -Dilshad and the way she took Asad to the room and started questioning him immediately regarding whats happening in his life - this is not the way a long lost friend, however close they might have been in the past behaves, the moment she meets him after ages. Don't we initially have a few awkward moments of getting accustomed to a childhood friend before we ask them too many personal questions about his life and his problems?
But she straight away made Asad tell her everything by hiding behind a facade of the concerned friend, and Asad is unable to see through this facade.. but to us this is a definite give away.. And she asked where that Doll was now and said that they should search for it as if that was too important for her.
And Billo the maid, what was she doing in the garden looking at Asad and tanveer and trying to listen to their conversation if her purpose of being in that house was to find the Doll alone and she was sent by Raziya for that purpose alone? And the way she told Zoya that Saahab is busy, I felt as if she was purposefully trying to convey a wrong message to Zoya (am I imagining things?).. If she was again just a maid sent by Raziya to get the Doll, why would she try to convey a wrong message to Zoya?
