Well vinee_vinee, you beautyfully resumed most of what other viewers are trying to put forward. Some of us are still moaning for the lost image we had of anandi. And that of both AnSh. Infact, what made anandi who she is supposed to be today was her frame, background, her experience, history! And all this is related to Prats face. So its not easy for some of us, that we just cant watch the shaow the way we used to. Nway, what can we do? Nothing!!Originally posted by: vinee_vinee
Hi, i am although a member of India-forum since 2008 but was never active here. I am not a very ardent BV or Prats or Toral fan. I have watched this show on and off and mostly on you tube, never regularly. So after reading this Toral bashing and Prats praises i thought of checking it on my own. I started with watching shiv-anandi scenes and came across some very beautiful scenes. I actually felt that the scenes created a charm as the actors had a good chemistry, suited their respective roles and emoted the restrained love very well through their eyes. The petite personality of Anandi in contrasts with Shiv's strong built was something i liked as i always feel that husbands-wife are complimentary to each other and don't look great if are similar. Her petite frame particular to this romance part created an impact that she is soft and fragile( only physically) but is now in Shiv's secure hands. Also i feel Anandi is a young bride who has just grown up and seen miseries always...and in that young age when all she knew was that she was married since childhood to Jagiya now she is realizing what love is coz of Shiv. In contrast i also tried to watch the episodes with Toral as Anandi. First contrast was age and then built. I may have liked Toral as a lead actress of some new show as she had the qualities to play a lead but i somehow could not like her as Anandi. I understand that the actor had to be changed but by bringing a complete opposite to the earlier actor playing that role suddenly it felt as if not the actor but the entire character has changed which is very surprising. I liked Ganga and Jagiya scenes more than Toral although for a non watcher all these characters are new.

It is natural and obvious that those who got attracted to BV more due to AnSh are bound to resent the change. All points are valid - contrasts in Shiv and Anandi that made their jodi look adorable etc.
But I'd only add that BV has never been about any jodi and neither is Anandi, "only" what Prats was shown to be. Every aspect of Anandi, her roots and original, free from any social conditioning, personality were established in beginning of BV with Avika. Having seen those episodes back then, I do not really find it hard to accept this alleged "aggression" in Anandi.
I do not mean to sound preachy but changes always created stir in BV viewers. Whole lot of Prats bashing was done when Avika was replaced, she was bashed by some Sid fans when Shiv's character arrived but now people are rooting for her and new actress is facing the ire. We viewers have debated vociferously over changes in behaviour of character being played by the same actor too (why Gauri turned evil, why DS turned too sweet! LOL!). It keeps happening.
We have no choice except to debate to death and then finally move on and remember, the essence of BV is its content, not just faces.
From all experience of watching BV and visiting this forum over these 3-4 years, I can only assure that BV will always be the best show on TV in terms of content, quality of acting. The show has had several ups and downs, disappointed and impressed viewers several times but it's always turned out to be eventually good. They extract the best from their actors. Prats also received negative feedback when she first arrived. But look how she improved! I am sure, the makers will handle Toral also if she disappoints.
