Yesterday's episode was a test for the BV team because the whole world which has been following Anandi and her journey were waiting with mixed reactions to see the new Anandi. We all expected to feel disappointed and atleast many of us were just waiting for an excuse to quit the show. But the creative writers did their magic once again. Yesterday's episode was so cleverly written that although we still miss the old Anandi, we are ready to give the new Anandi a chance now.
1. Her introductory scene - they showed Shiv speaking to her on phone asking to come back soon, Anandi smiling shyly and responding...they were trying to show us the chemistry will be there and love between Shiv and Anandi will tide over the difference in casting
2. Dadisa's conversation with Bhairav - That was another clever ploy...Dadisa said that we should accept change and move with time. The conversation was another subtle message that we viewers should also accept the changes and move on. Issi mein samajdhari hai
3. Teacher's conversation - The third clever part was when Anandi comes face to face with the teacher and she remarks, "you lied to me when you said you haven't changed. Where is my Anandi ?" And then Anandi smiles and touches her feet and the teacher says "no you have not changed, you still are the same inside..." Another hint that though the looks have changed, the spirit and personality of the character will be retained. That is what attracted us to Anandi after all, right?
So overall, I think the creatives did a very good job of introducing the new Anandi...I think they have a very good Change Management process in place 😆
The new actor has very large shoes to fit in...but I am sure with a clever script, capable director, and co-actors, she will be able to mould herself into the role.
