Chapter 28

They both immediately returned home, and when asked they were told that yes Shaina had returned, and she was presently in her room.

"Let me deal with this, i'll go and check her out," Riya told Arjun, "while you can go and inform Rathore that Shaina is back."

Riya went to her room, and found that Shaina was in the bathroom. She knocked on the door, and shouted "Shaina sab theek to hein?" She waited for some time, but no answer came from the other side of the door. She kept knocking on the door, and continued to talk but Shaina never replied. Finally Riya got very scared, and said, "Shaina if you dont open this door, i'll get someone to break it open!" Just as she said this, the door was opened, and Shaina came out. Riya immediately hugged her, "Kahan chali gayi thi tum? Did you know how worried i was?"

But Riya felt that Shaina wasn't even responding to her hug or her words, she took Shaina's hand and led her to sit on the bed, and asked her what happened.

But Shaina kept mum for the whole time, finally Shaina just lied on the bed and fell asleep. Riya didnt feel the courage to wake her up. "No problem, when she'll feel better, she'll just tell me everything herself!" She left her to go for diner.

Just as she got out of her room, she found Arjun waiting for her leaning on the wall. When he saw her coming out, he went towards her and asked her if she found anything.

"She's not even saying anything. She appears to be under a big shock! She's sleeping for the time being!" Riya said sadly.

"Let's wait for tomorrow, maybe she'll feel better. According to me, she just ran away because Sameer fought with her. Let's leave her for tonight!" Arjun said and took Riya in his arms.

"Hmmm to kahan the hum before Sameer disturbed us?" he said in a teasing voice.

"Hum kahin nahin the! I was sleeping and nothing else!" Riya said back to his chest.

"Dekho Riya, aaj kuch romance hi nahin kar paye hum with all the problems we got!" Arjun said with puppy eyes.

Riya raised her head to look in his eyes, and said, "Acha janab ko romance chahiye? Ji nahin, dinner ke liye sab hamara intezaar kar rahein hoge!" and she immediately released herself from his hug and ran away for dinner.

"You'll regret it when i catch you later!" Arjun said a bit disappointed.

"We'll see!" Riya said and pulled her tongue out at him before disappearing.

That night, in a hotel...

"What??? since when does one clean a room at night!" a girl was mumbling to herself while going to clean a room.

But she had been ordered by her head, so she could hardly refuse, since she needed this job. She used her mastercard to open the door, and went inside to clean the room. She had barely entered the room, when after a few minutes, she started shouting and soon a lot of people had gathered in the room

The next day

Everyone was sitting for breakfast, and Shaina was still her room.

"How is she today?" Rathore asked a bit guiltily.

"She's fine, she said she'll soon come for breakfast!" Riya said.

Everyone was eating, when Shaina came there. She sat down for breakfast. Rathore, Arjun and Riya all were observing her. She looked very tired and worried.

Shaina knew that everyone was looking at her, but she ignored them and started to eat. She was feeling very hungry and she needed her strength to work out the dilemma she found herself in. She had just finished her breakfast, when they heard someone knocking on the door.

Everyone was shocked to see some police officers entering the house. Arjun and Rathore went to meet them.

"Any problem officers?" Arjun asked.

"We are very sorry to disturb you Sir, but we are just doing our duty!" one police officer said.

Arjun was a bit confused and asked them to clarify themselves.

"Miss Shaina, kaun hein?" the police officer said.

Shaina came forward when she heard they were asking about her. "Kya hoowa officer? I'm Shaina!"

""Miss Shaina! You are under arrest for the murder of Mr. Yashveer Rajput!" that police officer said.

Shaina was too shocked to even react when hearing this and without realising it she mumbled, "but he was just fine the day before when i saw him!" She remembered how she was tied, and Yashveer had said that he'll take his revenge on her! ( yes that man with Simran was Yashveer).

"Really?" the police officer said, "but he was found dead last night in his hotel room! And from our investigations, you were the last one who met him and was with him in that room! You'll have to come with us Miss Shaina!"

Everyone was stunned at this turn of events.

"i'm sure there's some mistake officer! Shaina cant kill anyone!" Riya said taking Shaina's part.

"Actually, whatever i had to do, i have already done. I dont need you anymore now!" Simran said.

Simran words started to ring in Shaina's head. Now Shaina understood what Simran meant. She never thought that Simran would stoop so low.

"It's ok Riya, i know i haven't done anything even if everything is pointing against me!" Shaina said and went with the police officers.
