The Mr and Mrs Rajkot competition had got us to see a loving side of Ahem and, at the same time, some wishes were fulfilled.
One was when her sandal broke. He was so in tune with his wife's unstable walk that he anticipated her fall and carried her unhampered by his usual shyness. A scene from the past was when Gopi had to carry her hand made murti made from rice (ganesha, I think) on a tray to a temple. Rashi had given Gopi to wear a broken shoe. When Gopi had misplaced her foot and was about to fall, Ahem who was walking alongside her, was quick to save the murti and stop Gopi from falling, but he had offered no further support. Then he opted for little contact with her.
Another was when he offered her the sari that he had bought. This reminds us of the time when he bought her some saris but they got burnt in the fire that Anita had started. Gopi treasured even the burnt saris and she valued this new one the same as well.
As Sherry expected, a dandiya category was had. This matched the dandiya competition from their earlier days of marriage. This time both were enjoying their time dancing together much like then but with greater joy.
We got to watch key moments from the past when his love was not revealed being replayed, but this time his love was expressed fully.
As he had a vivid imprinted her face in his mind he was so precise in his applying on her make up. She had wished many times for him to put on her sindoor, this time we got to see him doing this. He envisaged this to be part of her daily make up routine. His sole purpose of the make up was to claim that she is his.
He went about telling how beautiful she is that she does not need much make up that would cover her natural beauty.
The dress up category enabled us to finally see Gopi in a new avatar without her wearing the pallu too. A make over of this nature was much discussed on this forum and now it was met. It was everything that Ahem wanted too, it being his choice of sari.
The greatest revelation was Ahem's appreciation of what makes Gopi what she is. His expectation is that Gopi remains the way she is. His declaration continues to her reveals of his admiration and love for her.
This ME will come out as being one of the few fruitful MEs of Saath Nibhana Saathiya. It has begun the tying of the loose ends in the the Gohem romance. It continues to show parallels of the past with now better endings. We see a happily married Ahem who loves his wife immensely. When he can he is not shy in revealing his feelings and expressing his emotions. For him everything starts and ends with his Gopi. Her words, her thoughts and her wishes matter the most and he will do anything to ensure they are fulfilled, as in this case of taking part in this competition.
Still there are things for Ahem to know, like Urmila and Rashi treatment towards Gopi. For now though he is a satisfied husband who is so in love with his wife.
