Actually, inspite of criticizing his PR overdrive, I sorta rooted for him u know, underdog, TV celeb, harshad fans bashing him during that prem heer show and even harshad acting weird and now he going bw, not to mention dances so well.
but this thing @ bold made me pretty pissed off. I have worked my butt off for such exam and all those who ranked and got into top 10 unis work their butts off unless even if they r super talented and then they make it sound like 9th standard maths pop quiz. That got to me big time.🥱
And what if it is true??? Well is it so unbelievable that an actor could have ranked 7th in AIEEE?
I can't confirm his rank but he was indeed a student of Delhi College of Engineering and days before Kai Po Che had released, the film was screened at the college with Sushant and Chetan Bhagat in attendance. DCE is one of the top 15 engineering colleges in India and you need to have a really good rank to crack it. Sushant's claim of ranking 7 has not come out of the blue, he has maintained it from the beginning itself...even when he was working in KDMHMD. He has been equally vocal about the fact that his performance in college went down hill due to his interest in extra-curricular activities which made him drop out of college.
A lot of detractors here claim that Sushant has been way too smart to manage his PR so efficiently...so why believe he is an idiot in this respect?
And regarding the Hollywood film offer, well the film was also offered to several other TV actors including Shabbir Ahluwalia, Surveen Chawla. They were all supposed to do minuscule roles while a Hollywood actress was to be roped in for the film based on domestic violence. The film did not even have an established director, eventually the film got shelved.
The website of the film still exists...

Just one exaggerated TOI article is brought up again and again to mock Sushant. He did not even take up the role. And let's not forget that it is Hollywood which chooses nobodies and not Bollywood. Frieda Pinto in Slumdog, Gaurav Chopra in Black Diamond, the model-turned actress who was cast in Judi Dench starrer The best exotic Marigold Hotel, Suraj from Life of Pi...they are all nobodies not star sons.
