I was born and raised in the US and i love wearing asain clothes. As people mentioned, it's kind of weird to wear shalwar kameez or saree's outside so I do wear a lot of western clothes as well.

Being Muslim, sometimes I go straight from school to some religious events so I'm in jeans and shirts and no one makes a big deal about it. Indian/Pakistani clothes are not the only type of clothes that are modest, western clothes can be modest if you dress yourself properly in them.
