So, I am still kinda bummed from yesterday having read that Pratyusha is getting replaced. Not that I am her biggest fan and think that shes the best thing since sliced bread. But, who likes change? I liked the chemistry that she and Sid had going on as AnSh and will definitely miss it.
I won't hide the fact that the news of Toral being the replacement came as a huge surprise- again, I am not her biggest fan and to be honest I am still wondering how the PH roped in someone with such contrasting looks as the earlier Anandi. Oh well, heres hoping that they saw something in her that I did not. Really want her to work out.
Anywhoo, the point of this post is, that Toral and Sriti have worked together in what presumably was their first television show.This show came out some time in 2005/06 on Disney Channel India and was set in school where Sriti and Toral were classmates who formed a band with other girls. The show was called Dhoom Machao Dhoom and Toral was the lead character- though I thought Sritis character was better sketched. The show also included other television actors like Kinshuk Mahajan, Jay Bhansali and more interestingly, the original Shyaam of BV- Vikrant Massey.
So, I guess, if nothing else, the new Anandi and Ganga will surely have a nice chemistry with each other- with them starting their careers together and what not.
