Isn't it amazing how the writers keep bringing back the themes that were so predominant in the earlier months of the show. Parvarish or upbringing was a biggie. We even had Yash and Aarti on opposite sides of this debate. The Scindiyas were all about rules and regulations and discipline. Aarti agreed with all that but to a much lesser extent compared to the Scindiyas. She was all about letting the child explore and enjoy and blossom and what not. Both extremes aren't healthy. Ansh had his own set of problems and Palak and Payal had their own set of problems. And we saw that it was when Aarti and Yash were able to reach a middle ground that all their children felt secure and confident in their parents love.

The CVs have brought that same theme right to the Scindiya's door steps once again.

Seems like all Akash got was love from his mother. I don't know if Radha was able to set boundaries for him or discipline him. Did she feel guilty at what she had done? Had she over indulged him because of this guilt? And how much harder was it for her being a single parent. We saw what a difference Yash's disciplining made in little Ansh's life. So had SP been there to provide discipline and security for Akash during the times Radha faltered, would Akash have been a totally different person?

So the big question : When it comes to upbringing, is just love enough?

Does financial security and the security of a warm and loving family who would draw boundaries, who would discipline you and who would also always catch you when you fall, important too? Akash had love but never did have the security of a well knit family. Yash on the other hand, had both love and that security.

Wonderful take and a very valid point. Along with love a certain amount of security is a must while growing up. If security is there then discipline, education automatically follow.

Wonderful take, in my opinion love, security, and discpline are some key factors children need to have in their lives.

Kirthi - trust you to highlight the key underlying theme. And remind us of it. You will make such a fabulous teacher 😊.

So very true. The never-ending nature vs. nurture debate. And the vital importance of a stable, loving family. More than the financial security its the emotional security that matters to the children - and part of that means the parents not letting them feel financially insecure. That definitely does not mean giving in to all the demands, going out of budget, etc etc - but it does mean doing the best you can within your means as a parent - and then explaining to the child, in terms they understand why they cannot have <insert coveted object> that everyone else has.

Thank you for the wonderful post.

Kirti Akash was certainly the voice of viewers today .. all that we felt for SP , Scindias and their so called discipline , Akash said it all today directly on SP's face 😃 ... the double standards that the family carries was all exposed by Akassh today and thats why noone had anything in defence because all knew Akash is saying bitter truth here

Also I sort of see Ansh in this Akash ... I remember Ansh's first day on this dinner table with Scindia family and how he made noise with the spoon which resulted in Yash getting angry on Ansh and blasting him off ... today we see Akash doing the same and SP:the father getting angry 😃 .. but difference is Yash took it on himself to transform his son and teach him proper manners while here SP being a father dint make any efforts but instead ended up giving deadline to Yash 😆😆
