Usually I have something to say...but I don't...I would have highly enjoyed writing about AnSh, but I can't today. Too depressed about Prats. I know plenty of people on forum are trying to be positive about replacement, but honestly as a viewer I feel cheated and disappointed. I can't enjoy the romance anymore...you know I could have handled the replacement after the romance track was done and went back into full on BV mode. At that point, I would have been more okay with it, not happy of course, but at least okay because I knew that I at least had that confession and consummation scene that we have been waiting for SO LONG...Now it will be just weird to watch a new girl who didn't do all those scenes with Shiv from the beginning...it feels like complete injustice to AnSh.

it's true MB didn't play Ashutosh for a long time, but it was a total of 5 months.😊 As for the replacement being needed...let me explain the state of the show and the channel post the departure of Mohnish...Mohnish has been spoken of condescendingly by the producer himself so I will not defend him, his reasons for appearing uncomfortable with Kritika/Nidhi in the later half of his tenure on the show I will also not go into...but I must say this.

When Mohnish quit, the show was a daily serial...Mon-Friday, 8pm and 11pm on Sony...with 1+ ratings at each slot, so a combined 2.5+ ratings...for Sony...today that same show runs 4 days a week, and 8pm slot was cut AFTER the replacement, VERY SOON AFTER...and at 11 it now gets 0.6 trps...in Mohnish's days, this show was slot leader at 11pm, now that slot leader is Zee TV's Phir Subha Hogi...

As for replacement being needed...the quality of acting and the lack of on screen chemistry between Sharad Kelkar and Kritika is so apparent that the writer Kamlesh Pandey's wall and Twitter is full of the same fans who welcomed Sharad with open arms, bashing them...the issue with Mohnish was that in the first 3 months of the show, he had superlative chemistry with Kritika and suddenly it was like a light went off...but I won't get into it... you saying that a replacement was needed is a generalization...because in my opinion it has sent the show towards disaster and it is only Sony TV's stubbornness which is keeping it on air...

NO other channel will keep a 0.5-0.6 trp show on air...and never in Mohnish's days were the trps this low. 😊

No offense meant, I hope you don't mind me replying but I just had to, as an ardent fan of KTLK in MB's days who saw the show becoming a mess the second Mohnish quit. With all the touching and hugging in the world between new Ashutosh and Nidhi, KTLK still has the lowest ratings of all the shows on air and Kritika's blank looks (which she didnt give in MB's days) have not gone unnoticed. 😊

As for new Anandi...I feel she doesn't LOOK the part...so that's where the first failure occurs...can she act the part? that remains to be seen..😊.new Ashutosh in KTLK doesn't look the part...(you would know this if you watched Dhoop Kinaray, the drama KTLK is adapted from), and later on it was revealed that he cant act the part nor does he have even an iota of chemistry with Kritika.

I have been trying for the past several hours to be positive about the new girl, but honestly it's like I am lying to myself. It was Pratyusha who had the small little details of Anandi's body language done to a pat...the feelings for Shiv that grew over time that have changed that old body language, but still have remained essentially Anandi...this isn't like when Gopi was replaced (even the original had her consummation scene done before her replacement!) or even Tulsi, Kusum, or Mohnish from KTLK. If anything it was a bad idea when Ekta did it to Tulsi, she ended up having to bring her back, Kkusum just went to a downward slope after being replaced the first time. Now AnSh will look like a typical couple, since this new Anandi is taller...I actually liked that Anandi was shorter, petite while Shiv was tall, broad-shouldered...it made them look different from other couples on all other shows. They were not a typical couple, yet everybody fell in love because they were so real and relatable, not only in terms of looks of them together but as well as their character portrayals...

...I am not trying to offend the positive individuals, but honestly esp after watching today's episode, I don't think I can enjoy watching BV as much...I will try to keep watching...probably for Shiv...but honestly I don't think I can enjoy Shiv without his original jodi. It will be too heartbreaking to watch him romance someone new...I rather watch CVs drag AnSh storyline than to see Pratyusha be replaced. I KNOW I KNOW...blasphemy and all, but honestly at least original AnSH magic would be there twinkling like hope throughout the episodes...

...I think I shall be e-mailing Sphere Origins about my deep disappointment. I hope our opinion is actually considered. I have already commented on Colors webpage...

This was suppose to be an exciting moment for us as viewers, ab to excitement ka pura hawa nikal chuka hain. Well at least for me. 😕

Let's not cry over the split milk if prat has personal issues and cannot give time it is her wise decision and if she is joining films then her career is advancing so as fans we should support her decision and welcome new replacement with open mind the show must go on and

I am very well aware of the TRP track record and Sony's stubbornness. Dealt with it in the past with my own other favorite shows. And I don't think the time slot change and low ratings happened because of Sharad. There were many other factors going on.The ratings actually drastically fell during Mohnish's stint and I will not blame Mohnish completely but I will say he had a factor since the writing required chemistry, and the writing of the love story failed because of Mohnish's issues. Sharad's entry brought some stability to ratings. I know this because I kept track of this show's ratings like a hawk. And yes I am aware of the current ratings, but I think that's bc Sony as a channel as whole is doing terribly...their best show BALH is rating at 1.9-2.2 range, what do you expect from the 11 pm time slot when it's major TRP show BALH is bringing in barely good enough ratings. Also all the other shows are doing just as poorly.

As for Kritika's acting, blank looks??? I beg to differ. She is one of the few actors on television who can act. Sharad is also great. Look I understand being a Mohnish fan, you have your opinion, and I will have my own. I don't think KTLK is doing great in ratings bc of the so-so chemistry you think they have, I am not someone who thinks lots of unrequired touching is required to give rise to ratings, I just think love storyline/impact of chemistry suffered because behind the scenes issues. Also I will not argue about Mohnish's looks or Sharad's...that's neither here or there, all that matters if they can pull off the character.

As for Anandi's looks, again not going to go there bc she has done tremendous justice to her character as well as it's against IF rules to comment on looks of an actor. Her looks are irrelevant when she has proven herself as an actress on this show. Many pretty, tall girls who look like models girls can't pull off such characters the way she has, even with years of experience.

Again this is your opinion, because honestly I too can argue that you are over generalizing as well. I think it's best if we agree to disagree at this point because after writing this reply I have realized we do not agree on anything at all.

I don't wish to argue right now, at this point I am just heartbroken about AnSh...

many fans who gave SK a chance walked away from KTLK eventually citing lack of chemistry.

but I wont argue further with you either and I'll just say that whatever heartbreak you feel, i felt the same last year. Mohnish quit on Feb 28th last year so i get all that.

Hope you guys can get Pratyusha back.

well agreed Mohnish did play Dr Ashutosh for a very short while ..and ..I will not go into the reasons behind that here ...and ..also after the first 50 episodes things were not quite the same ..due to certain external extenuating circumstances ..but the show during the entire course of his tenure as Ashu ran successfully at primetime with over 1 trp at both slots ( a great acheivement on Sony considering their present dire straits)
as soon as the replacement came in...trps dipped to lowest ever ..0.6 ..where they remain to this day...inspite of the fact that the show was removed from primetime and put at no competiotion slot of 11
therefore it is clear that in this one case ..the trp generating audiences never accepted the replacement ..the figures prove it ...and the (non) chemistry of the leads now is believed to have played a major role in this

so ..learning frompast experiences ...I really hope that in the case of BV ..Prats stays back somehow
