The first day promised to provide some engrossing cricket and it has delivered just that. R. Ashwin and Michael Clarke put on a fascinating display of skills. Australia ended the day with 316/7. Michael Clarke made an awesome 103* from 169 balls, whereas Ashwin was star for Indians by picking 6 wickets.

It's been an additional incredible day of cricket.
