Part 4

Very stressed out because of EXAMS!!, so if ur not happy with this update i'm so sorry 😔 plz be lenient while exams r on...
Heres the update!!

She left the library leaving a badly sobbing Rey behind. Unable to control the urge, he punched the aisle in front of him. His hand hurt really badly, but his soul was in much more pain to even realise. He fell to his knees, as his legs became too weak to hold his weight.
Rey: (speaking so feebly that even a mouse wouldn't be able to hear him) Maa...

Tears had found their way out of his eyes and now they were moving down his cheeks, quickly ending their journey by splashing down on the ground. There was an unbearable silence in the library. It was tearing him from the inside, the silence was just like his life... EMPTY. All you could hear was Rey's sobbing and his tears dripping down on the ground.
His heart being unable to handle so much pain screamed out in agony... AAAHHH!!!
His chest heaving badly, His deep brown eyes reflecting the shear pain he was in, his prefectly curved lips started to tremble and his face turned red as he became short of breath.

He felt the ground moving beneath his feet, he was going back... Somewhere way back in time... But it felt like just yesterday...
2 years early...

*Flash Back*
His phone was ringing... It was his mom calling... He picked it...
R: Hello Maa
Police officer: namaste saahib, kya jis number seh mein call kar raha hoon, wo apki mom ka hai?
R: (worried) ji haa.
PO: Saahib...
R: kya hua hai?? Tum kyon ho??
PO: ji saab mein police se hoon, aur apki mom ka accident hoga hai. Ap plz Saanjivni hospital aajayia.
R: KYA!!! (Starting to cry now) Yeh kaise hua?? Kab hua?? Aur...
PO: sunyia saahib, wo bohot critical condition mein ha, ap jaldi se aajayia! Mein phone rakhta hoon.
R: hello!!! HELLO!!

Rey drove as fast as he could to the hospital the conversation going through his head again and again.

His head started spinning.

Ap ki mom ka accident ho gaya hai... wo bohot critical hain... yeh kaise hua kab hua... jis number se mein call kar raha hoon wo apki mom ka hain... Ap jaldi saanjivni hospital aajayia... hello HELLO!!!... Mein police se bol raha hoon...

These words circling around in his head. The road was going blurry because of the tears in his eyes. He reached the hospital and ran inside.

Rey to the receptionist-
R: yaha pe ek urat (woman) ayi this, unka car accident hua tha. Woh kaha hai??
Re: ji, wo I.C.U mein hain. Toh ap yaha se sede (straight) jaiya aur right peh ICU hain.

Rey ran to the ICU as fast as he could, although his legs were not supporting him due to his current situation.

When he got there he stood outside the ICU looking through the window into the room where the surgery was taking place. The doctors where frantically trying to get his mom's heartbeat to a normal pace again, one of the nurses was placing a blood dripper on her, and the other taking out the pieces of glass that were all over her body.

Rey just stood there helplessly, unable to get entry into the room. His mind loaded with questions...
How did this happen?? Who did this?? Mom toh bohot safe driver hain, phir yeh kaise?? Inhe hospital mein kisne admit kiya?? Kaha hain wo?? Accident kaise hua? Kaha hua...

There was a sudden sound... *BEEEP* he looked over at the machine that shows the patients heart rate(sorry don't know the name) her heart had stopped beating, the green line perfectly straight, she had stopped breathing and the doctor shakes his head indicating she is no more, the nurse took the blood drip off her and they all started to pack everything up.

Rey was standing at the door, his had on the window. The doctor opened the door and let him in. Now there was no one in the room, he stepped in to the room, suddenly feeling a shiver going down his spin. His eyes continuously dripping tears, his hands and lips trembling, his legs feeling weaker with with every step, only one word escaping his mouth...

Rey: MAA...

He went up to her and sat on the bed, placing his trembling hand on her face which was slowly turning ice cold...

R: Mom utho na... Maa!?? (Shaking her) MOM!!! Listen to me!! Apni ankhe (eyes) kholo na! Look at me... Ur son... Ap ka Reyaansh aa gaye maa. (Sobbing badly) ab na apko darne ki koyi zaarurat nahi, mein hu na... Mein apko kuch nahi hone dunga! (He puts his hand on her left side chest and tries to restart her heart)
Rey: why won't u wake up!!! (Trying harder to start her heart) Utho na maa!!! Get up!

While trying to pump his moms heart, flash backs started in his head:
when he was 5 and his dad had slapped him... He went running to his mom for pampering, his first test at school and he had passed... His mom gave him a treat, at his high school graduation... His mom was there for support, when he had bought his first car... Both if them went on a long drive.

His mom was there in every important moment of his life. But today he, her son wasn't there to support her through this tough moment! He wasn't there to bring her to hospital, to hold her hand while she was been taken into the ICU!! He wasn't there to ensure her she'd be alright! He wasn't there to tell he loved her!! He wasn't there to support her when she had all the problems with dad. He just was Never THERE!! it just tore him apart to realise he was never there for his mom, NEVER!!

He still continued trying to pump her heart until it struck him... she was NO MORE.. there was no hope. He completely broke down, took his hands away from her chest and put his head on her stomach and lay there crying badly. His hands holding onto her sari, showing how desperately he wanted her back!!

R: (through his sobs) Apne toh kaha tha ki ap humesha mere saath rahogi... Apne jooth bolo tha na maa, bas mujhe khus (happy) karne kiliye. Bolyia na Maa... Ap itni achi kyon ho??

Kyon thi... (Completely broken)

*Flashback End*

He stood up with the help of the aisle, his legs feeling numb, his hands still formed in a fist and his eyes filled with tears. He started to leave when he saw a bracelet on the ground...




He picked it up.

Lagta hai ki taani ka hoga, Damn it yaar! Yeh bhi mujko he milna tha! Kal usse de donga...

At Taani's house-

Taani was frantically searching her whole house trying to find her bracelet, she had searched every where. In the hall, in the guest room, in her room, under the bed, in her closet, under the carpet, in her purse, in her car... Every single place she could think of.

T: What the hell!!! Where's my bracelet?? God u know na how important it is to me!! Kaha ja sakti hai?? I've searched every where! (Tears had now started forming in her eyes) Plz... Baghvan help me... Yeh mom ki aakri nishani ha mere paas...

Kal jhake college mein aur check kar loongi...

And then she goes to sleep.

With Rey-
He was driving his car back home... When on the way he saw an orphanage, he got out of his car and made his way there.

In the orphanage there was a park in the front area, a sand pit, and a hand pump. As he walked in further he saw a little boy playing in the front veranda by himself... He looked upset and bored.
Rey walked up to him...

R: hey champ. Wat wrong?
Boy: koyi mere saath nahi khelna chaata! Jabse mumma chaali gayi, koyi muhjse paar kahi karta! 😭 (he said tears forming in his eyes)
R: (melting by his words) arre aise kyon bol rahe ho champ? Mein hoon na tumhare saath khelne. Come on what do u wanna play??
B: hum dono soccer khele? Yeh na mein humesha apni mumma ke saath khelta tha!
R: thek hai toh... Lets go!

Till 2 hours Rey played with the little boy... Until one of te ladies working their came out and took him back in as it was bed time...

Okay guys i'm not very happy with this chapter... I'm a bit disappointed with it as the flash back did not turn out as emotional as i wanted it to be, but since EXAMS r on i didn't get enough time to acctually read through and improve it! So i know ki u might be a bit upset reading it as this was supposed to be one of the crucial parts, but yeh EXAMS!!! Seriously very upset...

But plz manage!!

Awww, it was soo sad, I was in tears reading reys part

this was an amazing update...i literally had tears in my eyes with the flashback...it was really touching... =')

and now about this chapter...how can u say it's not good... it's really emotional, well written, and fantastic...esp the reminiscences of rey's mom...gosh...so well written
