I reckon it has got nothing to do with how the law works, just a creative liberty they took for the sake of suspense- but then again I have no clue about how the law works in india so it might be an actual thing
Also I think they mentioned earlier something about the fact that if she gets married, it means she does not care about nimai therefore render her testimonial worthless as her marriage to someone else wud b used against her.

there is a thing as credibility of a witness testimony in court, and it wld be d defense counsels job to try n discredit her by proving that she cant be a reliable witness... but i think d CVs lost/confused themselves by saying that sayali's marriage will discredit her testimony!

i dont know abt india's laws, or if this is even a law there, highly unlikely... but its what caught my attention coz it dsnt make sense!

Rajneesh used the argument to sway Rajkumar Tyagi for Sayali's marriage, and to lead RKT to himself (Rajneesh) as the future Son-in-law. Rajneesh's reasoning given to RKT was two-fold. First and mostly, he proposed marrying Sayali off so her claim as a lover would be put into question, giving less credibility.

Secondly, afterwards, he kind of hinted to RKT that marriage will fix her attitude problems if married to the right man. Sort of "Taming the Shrew."

This is what Rajneesh said to RKT. The first part regarding the case is not really proven as valid. Just said by Rajneesh to RKT. The second part, it's clear that he was manipulating RKT so the proposal would come to him (he had just finished talking strictly with Sayali, and I'm sure he knew damn well RKT would be listening in).

I think Samar was right that Rajneesh planned this out from the moment he turned in Sayali RKT, perhaps for some revenge or perhaps for some wealth grabbing scheme against RKT.

I also kind of suspect that it may be that Sayali would be more "free" and not locked up and restricted as his wife. Legally, of course, she is an adult and should have the rights to not be constricted in her father's house; however that's the reality for her. Her reality is that she is either under close watch, or she is in danger while hiding and running.

Even i don't know indian law or any law for that matter . What i heard rajneesh say was that if sayali got married to him , the question would be how she got married so soon to another man if she was so in love with Nimai. As she is going into the marriage willingly( of course it is forced vaani will be killed if sayali does not marry, so sayali keeps her mouth shut) for the public it would seem like she is getting married fast and wilingly to another man, this would question her validity as a nimai's lover and if the court is not convinced then the motive for her father to kill nimai would become weak in the absence of concrete prooof. The only solid evidence was that phone video and now that is gone. Before marriage if she makes these claims in court they might take her seriously but even then in absence of proof it would not hold much but it might lead to police really investigating and they might come up with some evidence . That;'s what i think..

Anyway all i want now is for sayali and rajnessh to get married it would be fun.. they have great chemistry
