Actress Alia Bhatt, who made her Bollywood debut with a fun-loving, youth-oriented film like Student Of The Year, is game to feature in a horror film. In fact, she says she would love to be a part of the Murder or Raaz franchise in future.
"In these thrillers and scary movies, it is very difficult to portray (the role), to always look scared... and you know, (be) in that tense zone. So, I would love to do a film (like that). If Murder 4 or Raaz 4 happen, I would love to do it," the 19-year-old said here Monday at a special screening of Murder 3.
Alia Bhatt says she is proud of her cousin Vishesh, who has made his debut as a director with Murder 3, which released Feb 15. "I saw it with the audience and I loved it. I think the Murder franchise has gone a step ahead with this film. I feel very proud as a sister. Vishesh has taken such a beautiful story and made it so interesting and gripping," Alia said.
Meanwhile, Alia has started shooting for 2 States opposite Arjun Kapoor.
Alia wants to do bold scenes
After playing a bubbly girl in her debut film Student Of The Year, Alia Bhatt wants to do more grown up stuff now, like bold scenes, for instance. It seems the young actress is gearing up to join the club of glamorous and bold actresses in Bollywood.
Word has it that Mahesh Bhatt's little princess is readying herself to do some overtly bold scenes in Imtiaz Ali's next film where she has been cast opposite Randeep Hooda. "I don't have the frame and body that I want for myself but I am working on it," Alia had said in an earlier interview with this newspaper. The newcomer confesses that she would love to be a part of the sequels of Raaz and Murder, should there be any in the future. "The spooky and edge-of-the-seat drama is very exciting. If my family has an interesting and well-etched role for me in films, I would love to do it," says the actress who was recently spotted at the Murder 3 screening sporting a revealing black outfit. Alia was also overheard talking about her comfort with bold scenes.
Now that's what we call taking baby steps towards grown up stuff.
