Wanted: Madhubala for Anurag Basu's next

According to the filmy grapevine, Anurag Basu is penning a biopic on the legendaryKishore Kumar and has already roped in Ranbir Kapoor to play the role of the iconic singer and actor.

However, rumours have it that Basu has still not zeroed in on to who will play the female lead. Names like Katrina Kaif and Kangana Ranaut are being thrown about but there has been no official confirmation.

Strangely though, just recently we came across this meme on Twitter and if Anurag Basu is reading this post, he might want to consider'

This picture of Madhubala and Karishma Kotak has been flying around in cyberspace for a while and if you haven't yet seen it, don't you think the British born model and TV presenter bears an uncanny resemblance to the late star?

Filmmaker Anurag Basu, who is scripting late singer Kishore Kumar's biopic, is still hunting for the actress to play yesteryear divaMadhubala in the film.

"I am hunting for Madhubala but it is too early to talk about it. Casting happens two to three months before we start shooting. The film is in its initial stage and would probably release next year," Anurag said.

While Ranbir has been roped in to play Kishore Kumar's role, there were reports that Kangna Ranaut or Katrina Kaif might step into the role of Madhubala. However, no official confirmation has been made.

The biopic will go on floors soon.
