I never followed KDM regularly but he was pretty raw as Preet back then...despite Manav being a pretty mahaan one dimensional character in many ways, Sushant did grow as an actor over the course of PR...I think he was pretty much just playing himself as Preet...Manav was more of a challenge since that is so NOT like what he is...ofcourse I'm not one to talk since I followed the show briefly mainly to watch Sushita together😆

But yes, JDJ deffo gave us a fresher perspective on Sushant and an opportunity to get a glimpse of his creative mind, charm, grace and confidence...all of which combine to give him star quality.

I didn't follow both those shows regularly either..but just whenever PR was on in my house, both Sushant-Ankita were just crying..or being "mahaan" ie standard soap roles 😆 But true, Manav isn't like Sushant the person so that was more of a challenge for him. Mhmm, JDJ was where we got to know the real Sushant. He's defo very creative and hardworking. It would be nice to see him direct one day too. But that's far off for now, abhi let him establish himself in Bollywood first 😆
