CURRENT ALTER EGO: Viren Vadhera in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai
YOU AND YOUR CHARACTER, VIREN: Both of us are very family oriented. I come from a close-knit family of four and I am extremely attached to and protective about my family members. Like Viren, I am shy and a bit of an introvert.
ON THE FEMALE FAN ADULATION: I absolutely love it. I have a fan page and a Twitter account and I feel as if I have millions of girlfriends.
SWITCHING GEARS FROM BUSINESS TO ACTING: My father has been a businessman for 35 years. Business is in my blood and studying business management was a natural progression for me. But since acting was my passion, I asked my father for one year out of the business to try my hand at it. I told him that if it did not work out, I would return to office. After tons of absolute drama, it has been three and a half years since I started work here. The journey so far has been like a dream come true.
ON BEING CALLED THE 'CHOCOLATE HERO' OF THE SMALL SCREEN: Chocolate is a temptation. I am glad that I am a temptation to so many!
THE FIRST TIME YOU FACED THE CAMERA: It was for an advertisement for a daily and I had just done it for fun. My friend was the stylist on the shoot and looped me in. I don't think I got paid for it but the sound of the director shouting, 'Lights, camera, action' was super exciting.
MOVIES CALLING? TV isn't a stepping stone, it's the destination for me.
YOUR STRENGTH AS AN ACTOR: My persistence to try and experiment. I would love to do grey. It has so many shades and I would love to explore them all!
