May you reach upto 36 more chaps now 😆. I know this is a reallyyy looonggg wish but you could do it! 😉

The update gave me goosebumps. Tanya is such a disgraceful woman. I kind of felt punching her and VirMan, Oh my! When are they gonna confess now? I hope this black cloud named Tanya won't ruin VirMan's relationship. That kind of surprised me when Tanya stood before Viren pointing a gun at him. What has she got to do with Viren? I sense a big disaster which's gonna happen between Virman..!

Anyway where the hell did Shiv disappear? 😕 I wish he makes a grand entry in the future updates!

Hey! Thank you so much! I can't believe how long this is! And it's just about half way through! Theres so much more drama coming up and so many emotional moments!

ahaha I've loving these reviews. Some are sympathising with Tanya and some hate her. About Viren, well she just needed someone to point a gun at, ahahha

Shiv is still there! He's just with his own life and well, the Chaudary's as well. The Chaudary's won't have much important roles now seeing as it's about Maanvi and her life as Vadhera bahu. As for Shiv, he plays a pivotal role in the later chapters! He is still very important. I guess he's like a parallel lead! He'll be back, in his awesome way!

Hey guys. I've made some important decisions. I have decided to take a Hiatus from I-F for a couple of months to a year. There is no real reason for this except that I have to get on with my life and get things sorted. I'll try my very best to finish this FF but it'll still be here when I get back. Anyway, at first I was going to put this chapter into couple of parts but then realised that I might as well make it as a long-ass chapter. Ahah, things will seem a bit choppy and there will be time jumps but only because it's a long chapter. LOL. Anyway, before you begin, get your tissues out because this will be an emotional journey. P.S PLEASE do like and comment as it pushes me to update more! 😳

Serendipity

CHAPTER THIRTY SIX

Virat stood completely shocked. He didn't know what to do. Should he get help? No, he was in London! How could anyone help him? He felt like he was a statue, watching over as Maanvi shook him, wanting him to talk to her. He couldn't. He was in shock.
It was like karma, you ruin someone else's life and they will soon ruin yours.
He had been so upset with whatever happened to Maya that he just didn't think before ruining each girl's reputation. He felt disgusted with himself, now. The way he picked up a girl, played around with her for a few days, made her feel as if he was their Prince, and then dropped them. Of course, he didn't go as far as sleeping with them, but did anyone believe them? Or to the extent of the girl? No. The girl, whichever village or town she was from, would be shamed upon for frolicking with Prince Virat.
And then there was Tanya, the last girl whose reputation he had ruined. For him, it was just a bit of fun, but for her – and other girls – it was the question of their life. Sure, Tanya was the sort of girl that loved to party but even she didn't deserve this. He remembered the day when everyone thought they had been together for one night; it was easy to convince her parents as they knew the actual truth but the servants? The gossip went around like a whistling wind, and soon the whole of Areenia made assumptions. They all branded her as the 'cheap' Princess, ruining her image, whilst he ruined her life.
King Chandran and Queen Latifa were always the forgiving couple but even they were scared of what to do. On one hand there was their daughter and then the Vadheras. It was lucky that the Earl had spoken with the King and Queen and still kept the peace treaty intact, but it was too late, the once strong Tanya was already broken inside.
"We have to go back." Virat told Maanvi. She instantly nodded without a second thought. Virat stood motionless as Maanvi hurriedly packed their clothes into the suitcase. He creased his forehead, tears building up in his eyes. "This is my entire fault." He said angrily, holding his fist tight together.
Maanvi stopped what she was doing and rushed by Virat's side. "Virat, what are you saying? Nothing has happened, nothing will happen, okay?" She tried to make him feel better.
He shook his head, a tear falling. "NO." He said loudly, his breathing getting heavy. "God, how can I be so stupid? Of course, this is my fault. If I never did that to Tanya then maybe today she wouldn't have been threatening my family!" He let out a bitter laugh. "I feel so disgusted with myself." He looked down at Maanvi before looking away, a slight disgust on his face. "You must have heard those rumours too, huh?" He muttered.
Maanvi sighed and placed her hand over Virat's, his tightened fist becoming looser. She felt his fist open as she held his hand in hers. "Look, I know what I heard. You, with those girls…" She said slowly, with a slight apprehension. "But I know you now, and I know you didn't do anything without a valid reason."
He looked at her shaking his head. He stepped back, taking his hands out of hers. "But I did! Maanvi, I played with those girls like….like they were nothing! I, I didn't do anything physical with them, but I played around with them, mentally! All I was thinking was about never getting close to any woman so that they'll hurt me again just like, just like Maya did!" He let out a cry as tears fell from his eyes. He moved backwards onto the bed and sat down, crying.
This was real. Prince Virat Singh Vadhera was broken. Maanvi looked at him, with the utmost desire to comfort him. She sat besides him, moving her hand to touch his shoulder but stopped, curling her fingers in. "Virat….." She whispered. He sniffed, before looking at her, teary eyed. Without a second thought, he leaned forward into her arms as he cried, and cried. Maanvi sat confused about what to do. There, in her arms was her husband and here she was contemplating whether to hug him back.
"Maanvi…" He cried. She closed her eyes, a tear falling as she heard him cry. She brought her arm around and hugged him tight.
"Everything will be fine…." She assured him.
Deep down, she too was scared. She knew Tanya was not at fault, but nor was Virat to that extent. He was just a broken soul and she was the wrong girl at the wrong time. Sure, Maanvi knew that Virat shouldn't have done what he did but for now, the main thing on her mind was to get back to Chandrilasia. "Everything will be fine….." She whispered into his ears again. This time, she was trying to convince herself more. Somehow, she had the strange feeling that things were going to get even worse and Maanvi silently prayed that their path would remain enlightened.
The four districts of Chandrilasia: Oceanah, Serena, Anubis and Ebony and its unsuspecting people were busy with their lives. In fact, it had been such a normal day for them that no one had even suspected that Princess Tanya of Areenia was travelling through the lands of Anubis, to her destination: the Vadhera Palace. It had been fairly easy to get over the border, with Tanya claiming that she was visiting the Royal family with a notice from the King and Queen of Areenia. Of course, those working on the borders did not want to look too foolish nor make a mountain out of a molehill and let her pass with a question. It was only when they (Princess Tanya and her small group of troops) entered the outskirts of the Palace, when things had gotten difficult.
Though, consumed in her anger and want for revenge, nothing would be able to stop Tanya. Using the fake document that she forged from her parents she was able to get into the Palace grounds. She had received a few glances here and there from people who were wary of her, but the treaty had been signed and the peace between the countries were kept intact – despite, Virat shaming her. She waited until the Palace gates were closed shut before getting out of the car, as the only fifteen men in her troops attacked the guards. "Don't kill any of them." She reminded them in a flash, as she walked into the Palace, making her way into the hallway. Above her, Princess Jeevika who was on the balcony heard the muffled cry from a silenced guard as she watched what was happening. She gasped, looking over at the revengeful Princess walk in. With that, Jeevika ran straight inside and into the Earl's office. "Ma….Tanya is here!" She had screamed out.
An hour had passed. A long agonising hour. Tick Tock. Tick Tock. Tick Tock. Went the long Grandfather clock. Tanya glanced at the clock knowing that there was roughly around seven hours left until Virat entered Chandrilasia. In front of her, was Viren who was sitting on the floor, with the gun still pointed at him. Behind him, the rest of the family stood in the corner, couple of feet away. In the hour that passed, Tanya had forced the Earl to call off any troops or Chandrilasian army that would help them. Although, unwilling the Earl made the call if it meant his grandson's life would not be in danger.
"Any news on the flight?" She turned around slightly to ask one of her men, who were guarding the door.
"Ma'm, it's flying over the Middle East." He replied. Tanya nodded, looking back at the clock. She became restless as the hours went on.
The plane landed in Chandrilasia, and without a second delay, Virat and Maanvi rushed off. They were slightly behind because of the last-minute plane booking, and were desperately hoping that nothing has gotten worse, than it already is. "Vadhera Palace, please." Virat said to the taxi driver as he and Maanvi opened the back doors and climbed in.
"Driver, please drive fast." He brushed his hair back, nervous and angry. Maanvi placed her hand over his, pressing down on it. "It'll be okay." She whispered to him.
He sighed, desperately hoping that she was right. "I'll never forgive myself if anything happens." He looked into her eyes, trying to remain strong.
"Virat…"
"Sir, we are here." The driver's voice interrupted them as Virat and Maanvi's heart started to accelerate. He dived into his pockets and took out the pile of notes he had. Furiously, he threw it to the driver as he pulled Maanvi out of the car. "Keep the change."
Breathing heavily, he pushed back the Palace gate, surprised to see it unguarded. "Maanvi." He looked back at Maanvi, suddenly becoming scared. He didn't know what to do. He looked at her in helplessness. Maanvi ran towards him, looked him in the eye before placing her hand in his.
"It'll be okay." She told him.
He nodded, as they ran inside, pushing back the front door. It was dark, as if something was lurking behind it all. Maanvi held onto Virat's hand tighter, not wanting him to be apart from her. "Virat…" She whispered. He gulped, and held her other hand before trying to find the light switch. After scavenging for the fuse box, he finally found it and switched it on. The whole hall was illuminated at once, the light brightening it up. Holding tight onto Maanvi's hand, he was about to take her around the Palace when Virat felt someone point something at the back of his head. He stopped walking and turned around. A man, with dark eyes and sharp features, gored into his eyes, whilst holding a loaded pistol pointed at Virat. "Virat!" Maanvi shouted scared but Virat simply held onto her hand harder.
"Don't speak at all!" The man ordered. "Madam has been waiting for you." He spoke almost in a menacing tone, as if he was enjoying it all.
Virat ignored him and looked down at Maanvi. "It'll be okay….." He replied, mirroring what she had told him before.
The man, still holding the pistol, followed Maanvi and Virat into the Earl's office, accompanied by other men. As they walked in, the rest of the family became elated to see them. But behind their happiness, there was also the fear that Tanya would do something. Virat looked in shock as he saw Viren lying on the floor, with his family, teary-eyed behind him.
The elder Prince looked tired, his eyes were red, and his mouth was dry. "Virat." He croaked. Virat tried to go to his brother but was stopped by the man with the pistol. How dare he stop him? Virat thought. For a second, he wanted to hit him, to do something but also knew that if he did then it would only make things much more worse.
"You're here. Finally." Virat looked up to see who had spoken. In front of his brother, there sat Princess Tanya of Areenia, holding a pistol. He scoffed at the irony, both brothers compelled under bullets. "I've been waiting for you." She looked away from him as she spoke.
"Let my family go." Virat commanded, trying to walk closer but was stopped once again. "I'm the one you wanted; well I'm here now aren't I? So leave them alone. You've hurt them enough."
For the first time, Tanya looked straight at Virat. She was so full of anger and hurt. She looked down at Viren and placed the loaded gun away from him. "I never wanted to hurt them." She spoke as she walked, looking directly at Virat. "All I wanted was for you to listen! I'm so sick of this Virat! Do you know how my life has been like since then? It's like hell! I can't even walk down my own Palace without someone talking about me! And you? What the hell have you been doing? Marrying? Making a family? Being happy when you made my life so, so much like hell." She was extremely angry right now, as she tried to stop her tears. Her voice started to break but she didn't let it.
Tanya looked straight at Maanvi, eyeing her, inspecting her. "So, you're the lucky one huh? The one that the GREAT Virat Singh Vadhera has chosen. Do you know what he even did?" Maanvi looked up at Virat, who became guilty at once. Though he knew that Maanvi knew, he still couldn't get rid of the guilt. The fact that his one decision, changed people's lives, for worse. "He ruined my life!" Tanya shouted. "How can HE think of marrying when he ruined my life!" Her eyes began to water as she placed her hand over Maanvi's shoulder, shaking her as if things would change.
"Tanya, please." Virat spoke. "Let Maanvi go. She didn't do anything." He looked down at Maanvi with a tear as he took his hands out of hers, freeing her. At once, the man with the gun, pulled Maanvi away to the other Vadhera's.
"Virat…" Maanvi wanted to cry as she was embraced into Jeevika's protected arms. The Earl stood besides Viren, who was looking back at Virat and Tanya. He wanted to do something, they all did. But they were stopped by one of the guards who stood like a barrier.
"You think I'd hurt her?" Tanya mocked him. "Did you know Virat, about my love? About the man that I wanted to marry?" Virat stared at her, cold. He, in frank, didn't know much about Tanya, let alone who she had loved. "He's like Maanvi. No Royal blood." She scoffed. "I loved him, and he loved me. You know that time that we met, I was actually going to speak to my parent's about him. But then you had to go along and become the jerk, and ruin my life!" She began to shout. "God, it was so stupid. I don't even know how everything happened. It was like one minute everything was fine and the next….my worst nightmare." She laughed a little. "Everyone thought we slept together." She said frankly. "Not that you denied it. No one believed me, either. They all believed what you said, or what you didn't say. And the man I loved? He thought the same! He thought I was with you, that I cheated him!" Virat looked away from her as she spoke. "Is that what you do? Pretend to sleep with girls just for fun? Is that what you're going to do to Maanvi?" She whispered at the last part but loud enough for Maanvi to hear.
Maanvi looked up from Jeevika's arms to her husband, in shock. "Is that what you're going to do to Maanvi?" The words were ringing in her ear. Was Virat going to do that to her? Virat looked straight at her and shook his head, desperately. "I would never do that to you, Maanvi. NEVER!" She tried to smile, her heart knowing that what he was saying was right. She had immense trust in him. He would never let her down. Maanvi began to sob, not being able to take it all in. Jeevika clung onto Maanvi, giving her support.
Virat yearned to be with his wife but he just couldn't. "Please, Tanya. Please." He begged her. Tanya looked away, beginning to cry. She just couldn't take it all. She didn't want to hurt anyone but couldn't get over the fact that the man standing in front of her was the one who hurt her in the first place.
The Earl started to walk towards his grandson. He didn't care that there was a man holding them back. He just couldn't stand and watch his family break in front of him. "Tanya." He spoke in pure confidence. He had known her since she was a young girl, in fact he was the one that often played with her when ever he went to visit Areenia. Though he shared no blood with her, she would always call him Dadaji, for the lack of her own grandparents. They had a strong enough relationship, and apart from her parents, he was the man that she would trust. Tanya looked back straight away, out of respect. He had seen her grow up though she was immature, and a bit reckless, he still loved her as his own granddaughter. He was also there when it was her downfall. The once strong headed, fiery girl was a mute, scared and paranoid of what people thought of her. "Let him go."
"Dadaji…." She whispered before shaking her head, trying to remain calm and strong. "I can't. I can't do it. I can't let him go not after what he did to me." She started to sob.
"Tanya, beta…" He walked towards her, in apprehension as the guards looked on.
"Dadaji, weren't you the one who told me that we should fight for the truth? That we shouldn't let one be in wrong? Then isn't this it? Dadaji, I'm the one in wrong! And I want to fight for my truth!" She looked back at Virat in anger. "And he was the one that did this. How can I let him go?"
The Earl looked on. "But I also said that if that person in wrong is willing to repent, then he should be given a chance to. And I know Virat has changed. He is no longer the same Virat that you saw."
Tanya creased her forehead, eyes still teary. She looked at Virat who had his head down. He looked back up, his eyes becoming red. "Tanya, believe me. If I could change what happened, I would. I didn't want to hurt you."
"But you did!" She growled. "Could you change back my life? Could you get people to change what they think of me? Could you get my love back in my life? No, Virat you can't!"
"Tanya please." Virat took a step forward as Tanya, in retaliation pointed the gun at him.
"Don't come near me." She spoke slowly, her words hitting each and every word. Virat tried to stop her, trying to make her understand. "VIRAT! Do not touch me!" She screamed.
"Tanya…" The Earl started to speak as he walked closer towards her. Tanya began to feel suffocated as she held up the loaded gun. "Come on…"
She locked eye contact with Virat, as she breathed heavily. She held her fingers over the grip of the gun, as Virat pleaded with his eyes. "Tanya, please!! Leave him!" Maanvi cried out, trying to run towards Virat.
"Maanvi!" Jeevika screamed out as a guard tried to pull her back.
"Tanya! Stop it!! Tell him to let Maanvi go!!" Virat screamed in her face as he eyed the guard holding Maanvi's arm. He began to get restless as he tried to move out of Tanya's way.
"Tanya please calm down, everything will be okay." The Earl's voice rang in her ears.
"Maanvi!" Jeevika screamed out as the guard held tight onto Maanvi's hand.
"Let me go!" Maanvi cried out as the man dug his fingers deep into her skin. Her skin becoming red as the grip became tighter.
"Tanya!" Virat shouted in her ear.
Tanya began to see the world go darker, spinning around her. She felt as if people were staring at her, mocking her. The world began to become slower and all she could hear was everyone saying her name.

"Tanya. Tanya. Tanya."
They were shouting at her, and then the next minute they were laughing at her. It was like they were enjoying her trauma, feeding on her sadness. She couldn't take it anymore. She held the gun tight on her hand and closed her eyes. She closed her eyes, hearing the shouting become louder and louder.

"STOP!" She cried out, her fingers slipping at the trigger of the gun.
Boom!
The bullet came rushing out, piercing into the skin. He fell backwards, the blood pouring out of his stomach. He cried out in pain, before all became silenced. The family looked at him, shocked, teary eyes. They ran towards him, not letting the guards stop them. Tanya started to shake; she couldn't believe what she had done. She had shot someone! She looked down at her hand, the freshly triggered gun. She didn't stop the tears leave her eyes, as she realised what she had done. She looked down to see the blood, just oozing out. What has she done?
"Dadaji…" She whispered as Virat ran towards his grandfather, pushing her out of his way. Behind him, the rest of the family came closing in as she was left to stand by herself. She dropped the gun, ashamed at what she had done. All she could see was the family left to cry looking down at their beloved father-like figure. He seemed cold, his eyes closed shut. Viren got up, trying to remain his composure and started to look for a phone. He looked around and found the landline, and started to ring for an ambulance. Tanya looked on and saw the guards look at her, unsure of what to do. She shook her head, indicating for them to not do anything. This was her fault. She had killed him.
The ambulance came straight away as they heard of the Earl's shooting. Tanya had made the guards disappear from the scene as she was the one purely to blame. She didn't want to escape: she had shot her beloved grandfather-like figure, and she didn't want any excuses.
No one spoke to her. It was simply like she was not there. Of course, there was something much more important in their minds. As the paramedics rushed in, she watched in tears as they took the Earl into the ambulance. She rushed out to be near him but was stopped.
"Tanya." Viren spoke, looking at her in anger.
"I'm so sorry!" She replied frantically. "I didn't know what had happened! I never wanted it to be like this and not to Dadaji! It was an accident! I didn't mean to!"
Viren looked away from her. Sure, it had been an accident but he still didn't forgive her for trying to hurt their family, if not openly. "But it happened didn't it? Tanya, Virat has repented for what he did to you. But today? Tanya, my grandfather is fighting between life and death and…" He sighed. He was the future King of Chandrilasia and Viren knew that it was his duty to ensure that people got justice. "I've called the police, they'll be here for you." Tanya nodded, accepting her fate. She closed her eyes, letting the tears fall out.
"I'm sorry." She whispered.
"I know…" Viren replied before walking off into the car, where it drove off to the hospital. A few minutes later, the police came to the Palace arresting Tanya. She didn't protest, simply followed their orders as she quietly sat in the car, making its way to the Chandrilasian High Police Station, where she would await her fate.
The Vadhera's looked on as they stood around the waiting room of the hospital. The operation to take the bullet out was undergoing, and as each minute passed, everyone grew restless. Maanvi touched Virat's shoulder as he looked out into space, his shirt covered in blood. He hadn't realised when things had gotten so worse. He didn't even realise in that moment when his grandfather had gotten shot and there he was in the ICU, fighting for his life. He turned around to see Maanvi looking up at him. He sniffed before falling into her arms, hugging her petite body as tightly as he could.
"How could this happen?" He whispered.
Maanvi held him back, tight, rubbing his back to soothe him. She was still in shock at everything. She, herself didn't know what to say. "I'm sorry…"
"It's my entire fault." He cried out.
"No, it's not. Everything happened for a reason. It was just a matter of fate, that's all." She whispered back.
He tore himself out of her arms and looked at her. "What Tanya said before, I would NEVER do anything bad to you, never!"
"I know, you won't. I believe you."
"I care about you so much." He whispered.
Maanvi smiled at his comment, her tears watering. "I care about you too." She whispered.
"Excuse me?" The doctor came out of the operation theatre with regret in his eyes. He looked at each of the family member, not knowing how to approach them. He had spent the last twelve years of his life giving families good news and bad news. And this time, it was definitely the moment he despised. Jeevika and Viren ran towards the doctor, asking him about their grandfather. Whilst everyone else was in tears, Viren was the one who was trying to remain strong. It was going to be his duty as the King to care for his country, and he couldn't dare break down, not when his family needed him the most. "The thing is…" He stuttered for a second. "The bullet has completely ruptured his liver, and I'm afraid he has little to no chance of recovering. Even if we do manage to find a liver donor, then it is still too late, too much damage has been done." The doctor spoke, in regret.
"Bauji…" Swamini whispered, crying. She had seen her brother die and now her father was leaving her. Vanshika hugged her, both crying in each other's arm. Viren sniffed, shocked at the news. He watched his family break down in front of him.
"There must be something you can do." He told the doctor.
The doctor shook his head apologising. Viren closed his eyes as Jeevika came near him. He held her, as he finally let his tears go, and cried.
"He has very little time; we have stopped the blood loss as much as we can do. I would advise you to say your goodbyes." A nurse came out and spoke to the doctor before leaving. He creased his brow, sighing. "The Earl has asked for Virat." The doctor said as Virat looked up. He didn't know why his grandfather was calling for him.
Virat nodded as he ran inside the theatre, alone as the rest of the family looked in through the glass window. There, on the bed was his grandfather, breathing his last couple of breaths. "Dadaji!" Virat cried, as he ran towards him. He held his grandfather's hand, "Please, Dadaji. Please don't go. How can I live without you?"
The Earl smiled, breathing heavily but slowly. "I have to go, Virat. I won't be able to live too long." He chuckled. "And anyway, do you know why I called you?" Virat looked up, shaking his head. "Because you're my favourite grandson." The Earl smiled. "Remember the games we used to play when you were younger?"
Virat nodded. "We can play as many games as you like! But please, don't leave me!" He cried.
"I'd have to leave you at some point, beta. Just this time, it was a little bit sooner than later. I just want you to know, that I'm proud of you. You took the bad moment you faced and brought it all around. With Maanvi, you became a better Virat. You become the Virat I knew and loved." He gasped for breath. "Just promise me one thing…"
"Anything, Dadaji. Anything!"
"Tell her how you feel." Virat closed his eyes, nodding. "Tell Maanvi your true feelings. Life is too short to make mistakes Virat. You can never just live on "What if's?" you need to keep your loved ones closer because you never know just how short your life is. Don't cry for me, I wouldn't want you to. I want you to happily go to Maanvi and express your love for her. Promise me?"
Virat held his grandfather's hand. "I promise."
"Good, call everyone else." The Earl replied, gasping for breath.
Virat nodded as he turned around and gestured to his brother through the window to come in. Viren, Jeevika and the rest rushed in and stood around the Earl. Viren sat down besides his grandfather, sniffing.
"My dear Viren. Always the wise one, always the one who thinks about what is right." The Earl chuckled as Viren placed his hand in the Earl's free hand. "Promise me that you'll look after the family and Chandrilasia, promise me that you'll protect people from harm. Promise me, that you'll take this country to a new height. Promise me, that when I'm gone, you will be strong."
Viren gasped, trying not to cry. He looked away nodding. "I promise."
The Earl smiled, his breathing becoming slower. "I want nothing more than my family happy. I just want Jeevika and Maanvi to be besides my grandson's forever. I want nothing else." His talking began to become slower, as his eyes started to droop down. "I want nothing else." He whispered. "Nothing….else…." His eyes finally closed as he took his final breath.
The Vadhera's cried as the Head of the family was finally gone. They couldn't believe what had happened. Their beloved Earl was dead. It was like a part of their lives had been snatched away. There was an eerie silence.
A week had passed since the Earl's demise. The whole country was in mourning, as they paid their respect to the ex-King and protector of the country. He was loved by all, the strong-headed King, he was known as. He would always be known as that. The funeral had taken place two days earlier, and the family had told their goodbyes. The Earl had promised them to be happy, and that meant not to wallow over his death. He wouldn't ever want anyone to be upset when he was gone, and that was something that they all wanted to respect. Everyone – the whole of the country and Island of Chandia included – loved the Earl, and he was someone who they would never forget.
The day had started to become quieter as the night crept in. Virat sat on the bed, thinking about what his grandfather had told him. "Tell Maanvi your true feelings. Life is too short to make mistakes Virat." He smiled. He loved Maanvi. He always had. After everything that had happened, he never had the chance to tell her. He was scared to think whether she too, loved him or not. But his grandfather was right. Life is too short to make mistakes. He can never truly know the truth unless he tries. He will never know how Maanvi feels until he tells her.
"Is everything okay Virat?" Maanvi spoke, as she closed the door.
He smiled, standing up and walking towards her. "It is now."
She smiled back. "Meaning?"
"I want to tell you something, and I don't know how you'd feel about this but I just have to tell you." He rambled on in nervousness. She nodded at him to carry on. "Maanvi, I – you changed my life since the moment you stepped in. You changed it for the better. Without you, I would be lost. You saved me Maanvi."
"Virat." She laughed lightly. "You said this before."
He shook his head. "No, I haven't. I didn't tell you this before. Maanvi, I…" He looked into her eyes, holding her hand. "I never felt this way about anyone. Not even Maya." She looked at him, telling him to carry on. "I…I love you." There it was. He had finally said it. The girl he truly loved, knew about his feelings. And all he could do was to wait, and see how she'd react.
Maanvi looked at Virat, not even blinking. She couldn't believe what she had heard. He loved her? She tightened her hands over his and looked up, smiling. Was this even real? "Virat…" She pulled him into her arms, holding him for dear life. "I love you…" She whispered. "I LOVE YOU!" He gasped, knowing that she too loved him. He smiled through his teary eyes as he held her tight, pushing his mouth down onto her shoulders. He pulled away, still close to her. He looked down, glancing over her rouge lips. He thought back to their first forced kiss, and then to their almost kiss. Maanvi slightly nodded, telling him to go on, knowing that he was waiting for her approval. He smiled, leaning down, placing his lips on hers. An electrifying kiss. As if time had stopped around them.
They pulled away, gasping for air from their long kiss. Their real kiss. He smiled, pushing a strand of hair back behind her ear as she shivered from his gentle touch. She closed her eyes as she felt his fingers leave prints across her face as Virat kissed her again: her mouth and her neck being absorbed by him. He picked her up, not looking away from her even for one second as he placed her on the bed. She smiled, hugging him tight. "I love you Virat." She whispered as he kissed her again, slowly.
"I love you, Maanvi." He whispered into her ear as she closed her eyes, making him her husband for all of eternity. The night began to get darker, but in their lives? There was only happiness….
….because this was Serendipity.

WOAH, if you have read this far! Kudos to you! My longest chapter yet at about 5000+ words! And no, I will not be making any more longer chapters. 😆

It took like over 30 chapters but Virat and Maanvi finally confessed their love and more! Yipee! 🥳 I am owed some likes and comments aren't I? Hahah

ZAHARA!!! EEEKS!!

THEY CONFESSED!!!!

I love you for this! Gahh this was such a good chapter! A mix of romance and drama and pain and regret and self actualisation and what not!!

I loved the way you portrayed Tanya's complete breakdown just before she shot and killed Dadaji. I think that has been one of the most well written sequences of yours till now, and believe me when I say that, cause I've read almost everything what you've written!

The beauty of your writing is that it is very easy for a person to imagine and picture in mind what is happening, and that is the main aim of every writer.

You're going on a hiatus? I am PMing you about it in a bit, I have to do some errands. Needless to say, at least stay in touch with us through PMs and stuff! I am sure you'll succeed in whatever you have planned to do!

Lots of love,

Ritchelle
