Oh new thought...what if onir comes from tons of money??? He hates talking about his past...I wonder if he doesn't want people to love him for money???

I just hope he didn't kill the chawl boy for money...or rob something...but the TOI article makes me think that these are side stories...I dunno i am maha confused

Let me try and set some of this straight for you.

There are no 10.5 lakhs. The first 3.5 lakhs that Onir mistakenly hands over to Vinod were the proceeds of the sale of Purvi's diamond necklace, and so that money was hers, not his.

Next, he cashes in an FD for Rs. 7 lakhs, which he says he had made some time back for the baby's future. He must be having at least some rich patients with long purses, so he probably got this money from some of them as fees. After all, when they showed Archana buying a full size diamond set for Ovi for her engagement to Arjun by selling just TWO of her gold bangles (the set must have cost at least 5 lakhs! Some gold bangles!!), we cannot quibble at Onir suddenly having an FD of 7 lakhs, can we? .

The remaining 3.5 lakhs from the FD proceeds are used by Onir to buy the necklace back for Purvi. So that is the accounting.

As for the newspaper, my guess is that there was a report, with a picture, of Vinay having been chased by the police and killed in an accident. If Archana had spotted it, there would have been an unpleasant discussion, and Purvi would have looked disturbed, which would have led to more questions from Archana. I think that is why Onir hides it.

I hope this answers your doubts. I agree that one can never say anything about what might happen to Balaji characters, but I think Onir is like the Rajat Kapur of Bade Achche Lagte Hain, who has remained a totally undemanding and eternally devoted lover, and that too of a woman he is not even married to and who now feels awkward with him. Onir has it a little better, after all! So I feel he will stay as he is, and I will be grateful to have at least one unsullied and undamaged character around. Would you not feel the same?

Oh my God! My dear, don't trouble yourself with such speculations. I hope my post above is of some help.

As for the chawl boy, my guess in that there is an organ harvesting racket in that reputed hospital, and now Onir will unearth it. In the process, he will antagonise the head of that KV Hospital, the one who was introduced to Onir by Mittal, and who offered him a post that Onir turned down. This might lead to trouble for Onir, and Mittal will of course help the hospital owner. So we will have Mittal/Punni/hospital owner on one side and Onir/Purvi on the other. It will be a side story, and the CVs will drag it on or end it whenver they choose.

Onir might of course be the son of a very rich man of whose ways of making money he does not approve, and so he might have moved away from his home. But I think it more likely that he has no family living.

What is clear is that he is a well recognised and extremely well regarded doctor, and thus a public figure. So he cannot be other than what he is in public as far as his identity goes. So you can relax.

I really meant this as a satirical joke. I do not really think it is Purvi, but some of the other speculations about Onir got my goat, whence this sallly!😉 Of course Purvi's coming to Mumbai makes no sense at all, and even now, it is Onir who is on edge about getting her away.

Why not another alternative? Purvi could be doing all of this herself, out of a subconscious desire to let it be known that her baby is really Arjun's, could she not? 😉 She is a very good actress, and so faking all this tension and drama would be a cakewalk for her. Plus she knows Vinay, and she could have roped him in for the actual job!!😉
