CHAPTER 7

It was next day morning and Khushi woke up feeling all restless. She remembered that last night when she went to bed , Arnav was not home , though she doesn't care much , but still she decided to peep into his room for once and see whether he is back or not.

So she got a bit freshened up and then came out of her room and slowly went towards his room. She slightly opened his door and peeped inside and finally took a deep breathe seeing Arnav sleeping on the bed. She sighed and went back to the kitchen thinking probably he was busy with his sweetheart and that's when she remembered about his diary and rushed back to her room to read it and to check out whether she can find out who the sweetheart is.

11^th July

I DON'T THINK COLOURS AND HUES MAKE HER BEAUTIFUL. IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND .

I think she noticed me stare at her today. I was passing her girl's hostel and there she came out with her friends , ha ! what a luck !! always surrounded by friends. Though I also have a lot of friends of mine own , still they give you , your personal time. She was wearing a dress of green and fuchsia pink today. And looked resplendent . she has more than few guy friends too , who just love to be on her side all day long, and that's what makes me quiet jealous. While they sit near her , laugh and smile , all I can do is sit at a distance and stare at her. Today , I and my friends somehow sat right next to her table in the canteen. I heard her voice , it is just like the birds chirping on a Sunday morning. Maybe I will get a chance to talk to her tomorrow . I can't get my mind off her. Her angelic face , her simplicity , her musical voice , her cute little fingers. I just can't CAN'T stop thinking about her. I wonder did she really catch me starring at her this morning , or she is just too busy to notice some random guy. Does she even know that I exist ? I wish someday I will get a chance to talk with her. I wish'

As soon as she finished reading the page , she smiled. This guy , whoever he is loved this girl a lot.

"Yeh ladki kitni lucky hai' that someone loves her so much' sach mein I hope ki iss AM ne uss se baat kiya ho , and aapni dil ki baat bata diya ho'" [This girl is so lucky, that someone loves her so much' really I hope this guy , AM has talked with her and told her what he felt for her.]

"Nobody should refuse him , he is such a true lover." She said and smiled again. She was about to turn the diary page and read the next writing when she murmured

"Par maine toh promise kiya hai ki mai nahi parungi'. Phir'.. par aagar ek aur page par liya toh kiska kya bigaar jayega'. Waise bhi chup chap baithne se aacha padh hi leti hoon. " [But I have promised myself that I will not read more than one page' but then If I read one more , there will be no harm, so lets read it.]

And with that she turned the page again and there came another date and another writing.

28^th July

I DON'T BELIEVE IN PUTTING A TIMELINE ON LOVE.

And there came a knock on her door , and she hurriedly closed the diary and kept it under her pillow and jumped out of her bed and rushed and opened the door , to see Arnav standing there prepared for knocking the door once again.

She looked at him and noticed that he was not in his usual three piece attire but was wearing a simple T-shirt and a blue jeans , his hair was ruffled not all the time gelled one , and he was looking handsome and hot. What ???? God is she going mad, coz she just now called her kidnapper HANDSOME ?????? nd HOT ??????? she is seriously becoming mental , for not talking with anybody and so she sighed and looked at him and asked

"What ???"

"Hmm.. actually.. I am going to bring some grocery , so if u need anything in particular tell me , I will bring it with me."

She looked at him with her eyes popping out of her sockets , was she dreaming , mean seriously the kidnapper or rather Mr. Kidnapper was asking her for her needs. She gulped and said

"You know , tum bilkul bhi professional nahi ho' I mean serioualy for the first time I am seeing a kidnapper jo , kidnapped person ko puch raha hai ki use kuch chahiye ya nahi,, u I mean baki kidnappers toh kidnap karte hai , and then haath muh baandhkar , kisi aandhere store room ke kone mein phek dete hai , aur 2 time kuch saarra and jala hua khana dete hai, but here'. I am living so lavishly , lag hi nahi raha hai ki mujhe kidnap kiya gaya hai.. I am making my own choice food , sleeping in a king sized bed , watching TV , and even you are asking me if I need anything. "

She was going on and on and Arnav looked at her all disinterested and frustrated and said

"Shut up !!!! see I told you , till you father or your bauji listen to me and do whatever I say , I will not harm you , and as he is doing as per my instruction , so I don't want to hurt you , so its better , you keep your imaginations aside and tell me fast whether you need anything , coz I don't have time for listening all your rubbish things and meaningless talkings."

"Aare haan haan you told me , but then I am a bit curious , I mean how are going to hurt me , as you are not a professional kidnapper , I mean you don't have guns and all , and then you know some kidnappers threaten by telling that they will do all wrong deeds with the girls and then they will not be virgin anymore and people will not marry them , but you can't do that also with me , as I am not a virgin , so you have to get all creative , perhaps you can torture me by making me bore with your all buisness talks and all , wow see I myself am suggesting and helping , you and ya ya why not , aakihr I am such a helpful girl."

And that was the time his patience level got crossed and she was stopped , stopped by his lips hard on her . His lips came crashing down on hers , as at that particular moment that was the only way that popped up in his mind to stop her non-stop talking.

She got shocked by the this sudden kiss but then she recovered soon , as he removed his lips from her. It was not a kiss actually , coz no one kissed , it was just crashing his lips down on her for stopping her , and as soon as she stopped , he removed himself and said

"You better keep quiet or I know , how to shut u up , now quietly listen to me , if you have anything then write them down and handover the list to me , I will get them and do all these without talking , got it ?"

Khushi simply nodded and looking a bit dazed and turned to go inside her room , while Arnav moved towards the sofa. She went to her room and remembered how his lips came crashing down on hers. She blushed a bit and said to herself

"If that's the way you are planning to shut me up everytime , Mr. Kidnapper , then I am ready to talk more and more."

There Arnav sat on the sofa thinking how and why he just kissed her to stop her , he could have shouted at her , but then what was the need of doing that . Actually his temper rose , right at that moment when she told that she was not a virgin and so he can 't hurt her in that way. He knew how to respect women and he could never think of doing something like that to some girl , but then the other day , he just got carried away , and perhaps in one way it was good that she stabbed her , otherwise he would have not been able to stop himself that night and would have done , which he would have regretted later on.

He didn't want to hurt this innocent soul , because of her father . He just wanted to take his revenge from her father , and she was a pawn to be used , or rather to be kept in store for making her father do everything , aakhir she was his daughter ,and every parents love their children a lot . He sighed and decided that he have to be more careful with her , he have to keep himself and his anger in control , not loose his temper like this , and moreover he should avoid her and her talkings as much as possible.

After few minutes she came out with a list and handing it over to him asked

"Ek baat puchu ???" [Can I ask something.]

"What ???" he said bitterly

"Tum aaj office nahi jaoge ???" [You will not go to office today?] Out of all questions he was not expecting this , he thought she will ask , like why he was doing this , why he has kidnapped her , why he kissed her and all but surely not this one , it came out of the blue and getting over his shock and covering his expression he said

"No !!! why ???"

"Really !!!! kyunki mujhe phir tumse kuch baat karni thi' so I will make lunch , we will talk while having lunch ok ' and then ho sake toh tum aapne wound ko aaj stich bhi karwa lena." [Really !!! coz I wanted to talk with you , then I will prepare the lunch and will talk while having lunch , and if possible go to the hospital today and do the stich today only.]

"See I am not interested in talking with you , and moreover I am have got done the siches , and thas so I am not going to the office as the doctor has asked to take some rest, and no need to prepare lunch for me, its not your duty , do whatever you want , I don't care" and with that he left for the main door , while Khushi stood their and looked at his retreating back and said

"I will prepare lunch for both of us , phir tumhe khana hoga toh khana warna mat khana'" [Then if you want to eat , you can otherwise don't.]

She moved towards her room , got bathed and dressed up and then went to the kitchen to prepare some food. She prepared some food and went back to her room . she sat in front of the mirror and was combing her hair , when she thought why was she sounding and behaving like his wife. The way she asked him was he not going to the office , the way she became happy when he told he was not going and also the way she felt relaxed knowing that finally he has taken the stitches and the way she prepared food for both of them and was waiting for him to come back , she was looking like a wife .

God this might be another sign of her getting mental , but then all had reasons behind them isn't it , she asked him as she was confused seeing him I n casuals at that time of the day and then going for grocery , then she was happy that he was not going because she wanted to talk with him and make him her friend , she was relaxed coz she is a doctor and she knew that the stitches were important at this moment , to cure him up fully and she prepared the food coz that will give her the time to talk with him and hatch the topic of their friendship and lastly she was waiting for him because he was the only person with whom she can talk .

Haaa !!!!! really she was questioning herself and even satisfying herself with appropriate answer to make it sound healthy , she was lost in her thoughts or rather was lost in her conversation with herself when she finally heard the main door click open and knew he was home. She waited and soon there was a knock on her door , she instantly opened it and he without saying anything handed her a shopper bag and started for his room when she said

"Thankss' and jaldi bahar aajao I am serving the food."

He stopped in his way and turned and was about to say something when she cutted him

"Ya ya I know you told me not to make food , but then I also told you I will make and I have made , so its better you eat it coz I don't like wasting food and then wasting food means wasting your money and then' I don't want to waste your money as you are taking my expenses and I can't even pay and"

"Stop it !!!!!!!!!! just go and warm the food , I am coming." And he left.

She smiled to herself thinking how her talking worked and went towards the kitchen , she warmed the food and placed in on the dinning table , while he came and sat down on a chair , and both started serving for themselves when Khushi said

"I wanted to talk with you."

He looked at her under his lashes and said

"Toh itna der kya chup chap baithi thi'" [So all this time you were siting quietly.]

"Nahi .. woh' actually.. can we be friends please ?"

He literally chocked at his food and she handed him a glass of water and he drinking from it said

"What ???"

"Hmm ya' can we become friends'."

"Excuse me ??? are you out of your mind ?" he asked raising his eyebrow and she noticed how more handsome he looked when he did this , but then again going back to their conversation she said

"See if we don't become friends then I will surely go out of my mind."

He kept his spoon down and leaning back in his chair a bit said

"I guess you are forgetting that I have kidnapped you and you are asking your kidnapper to become your friend "

"Ya I know you have kidnapped me but then , you are different from other kidnappers as I told ealier and seriously see I love talking and I need atleast someone to talk with me'. Seriously' so please."

"No !!!"

"Please !!!!!!!"

"I said No , now just shut up and eat."

"I will keep on pleading until you say yes , and you know , I have lot of patience in me."

"Whatever ???"

"Its not whatever , its friends forever."

"Listen !!!!!! I don't want to be your friend , you are the daughter of my enemy , so.."

"So' what we can still be friends , from your behavior I am quiet sure that you don't hold any grudge on me , so there it goes , atleast we can try once pls.."

"No !!!!!!!"

"Oh cmon Arnav , a chance please."

"Listen I have not kidnapped you to do friendship with you. .. jaisi ho waisi hi rehne ki kosis karo, otherwise I have to turn like other kidnappers." And with that he got up and left for his room.

Khushi sat there all disheartened as her plan of doing friendship with him also failed , but at least she can irritate him.
