The show marked the debut of actors and coupleSaiDeodhar and Shakti Singh as producers, who joined hands with Ila Bedi Datta of Hitler Didi. It also saw the return of actor MohitSehgal ofMiley Jab Hum Tum fame to daily soap after almost a year. The show also boasts of popular small-screen faces like Shruti Ulfat andMrunalKulkarni. Apparently, the channel in question had asked the producers to wrap up the show in the coming six weeks.
But the latest development is that it may not be able to survive even that long. If sources associated with the show are to be believed,Khamoshiyaan might wrap up by the end of February. Informs the source, "Contrary to public perception, the male lead of the show was always ManitJoura (Garv), who was supposed to get married toGauri, the protagonist of the show, which he eventually did.
Also, Mohit's (Sehgal) track with the girl couldn't generate an encouraging response from the viewers. Garv's character was slowly gaining momentum, especially after a survey revealed that theaudiences also wanted to see Garv and Gauri together. After a lot ofcreative meetings, the new track focussing on Garv and Gauri was worked out. But Mohit was not pleased about it and eventually quit the show. The makers met the channel folks yesterday and it was decided to take the show off air. The show is going to wrap up by February end." producer Sai Deodhar remained unavailable for comment.
